Has anyone had luck installing this on a drive formatted as raid 0? I have a Little Big Disk hooked up to my iMac.

The GM is getting closer and closer. I have stayed away from the beta since I need my machine to be stable and don't want to bother running it on a partition. I know it's just going to be a refined version of Sierra but always love a new version of MacOS.

Sierra could certainly use some refinements so I don't mind that they aren't doing a total revamp.

Don't think anyone at Apple still remembers that there is a machine called mac mini ... used to be super popular and almost impossible to get used. Too bad, used to be great machine, but now seems to be totally forgotten :-(

I think you could be in for a surprise soon.:D

New Safari ad blocking tech isn't even 'released' yet and already at least in the tech preview it doesn't work at all. Ads still track me from site to site. Is this feature dead on arrival or don't I have it turned on correctly?

That's not what this cross-site tracking prevention does. It does not block ads; you will still see the same amount of ads as before. Only this time, they should not be using your browsing from previous pages to target you with ads.

You need to install a separate ad or content blocker to actually block the ads.

High Sierra is getting a new file system. My questions relate to external drives. Does an external drive have to be upgraded to work with High Sierra? If an external drive is formatted with High Sierra, will that drive work on a Sierra computer?

I too was curious about how this would be handled and I did some research a while back that talked about this. If I can find it again I'll follow up here later. In the meantime, I can tell you that for many months now I've had High Sierra beta builds installed on a laptop and have been able to plug in HFS+ formatted externals and use them (reading and writing files) without any hiccups.

OK I am getting a little bored here refreshing the update page....
I cannot see any update.

I tried restarting as well as the terminal command...
Nothing...

Last updated in 2014. Apple may choose to update every 4 years rather than rush out a new model every 2 years.

Has been since first beta.

I've had a lot of trouble with finder in the last 2 beta. Windows wont open and files do not always copy to external drive. I hope this update fixes whatever is going on or I am in trouble.

Every two years is not a "rush out". Even once a year is not, rather it is what I would expect from a computer company that wants to keep their computers current and competitive.

The only word I have to describe Apple's treatment of the Mac mini over the past few years is neglect. It is neither current nor competitive (aside from MacOS instead of Windows or Linux), and Apple doesn't seem to care.

I still hold out hope for a Mac mini refresh in the fall, but I really wouldn't be surprised if they opt to discontinue it or keep on selling the 2014 models instead. I'd also be hesitant to buy a mini without quad-core processors and upgradable RAM, as there is no reason not to have those things in a standalone desktop computer.
stable enough for main unit?
Some of the MacOS High Sierra betas were rather unstable on my secondary Mid 2012 MacBook Pro Retina, but I'd say beta 7 and 8 are usable. Still, wait for the GM or release version before installing it on your main system.
