That's not what this cross-site tracking prevention does. It does not block ads; you will still see the same amount of ads as before. Only this time, they should not be using your browsing from previous pages to target you with ads.

You need to install a separate ad or content blocker to actually block the ads.

what i'm saying is they are using my previous page content to target me with ads around those things.

Anyone else having issues with the Touchbar Brightness Slider? Mine doesn't render properly (see screenshot) and will only go to 0% or 100% brightness but nothing in between.

The GM is getting closer and closer. I have stayed away from the beta since I need my machine to be stable and don't want to bother running it on a partition. I know it's just going to be a refined version of Sierra but always love a new version of MacOS.
I have been using High Sierra Beta since it was first released to the public. I am a college instructor and use it on my main Mac mini. It works great with all of my apps, printer test scanners etc. I have had no problems at all. It has been a great experience.

I have been holding off on installing the Beta but considering installing now since we are so far along.

Is it stable enough for daily use?

I think so. I did it over the weekend and the biggest issue is bartender. It mostly works.

The rest works great for me.

stable enough for main unit?
I had an absolutely awful experience on my 2011MBP running the betas with file vault enabled. Had to do a fresh install and restore of files twice and despite a few weeks running haven't seen file vault complete the encryption for my boot APFS partition under High Sierra. Also hit a nasty bug a prior release had where freeing up space wouldn't release it for future use and didn't realise what was going on until I was down to 1GB free space and couldn't install the beta with the fix.

On my third install now and at this time I haven't turned on File Vault and it seems to be running rather well. I'd prefer to have File Vault on but won't enable it until closer to go live I think.

I'm sure it can be used on a main PC but I'd still advice to backup everything.

I've been using it on my main computer since public beta 3 without any real problems (just a couple of minor video glitches early on, now sorted). I think it's pretty solid.

Did anyone have success in playing some H.265 videos? Im running a 2016 nTB Macbook Pro which is said to be supported. None of the downloaded H.265 videos play. Some play with stutters, some don't actually open.

That's the site i used the videos from -> http://www.4ktv.de/testvideos/

I've not tried with those ones, however, all x265 encoded .mp4 videos from this site, https://x265.com/hevc-video-files/ played successfully on my late 2013 27" iMac
[doublepost=1503992278][/doublepost]I was wondering, has anyone successfully converted a 3TB fusion drive to APFS or is it still unsupported?

Interesting - the only video that is h265 and 4k (only those are interesting right? :)) even plays fine with vlc using Sierra.

Hmm, Handoff appears to work fine between MacOS 10.13 and iOS 11 but not between 2 iOS devices. Does anyone else see the same behaviour?

what I find interesting was that with Beta 5 almost none of my AU's were seen by Logic and most of the ones that were erred and failed evaluation. Then Beta 6 appeared and all the ones that erred now worked but the missing ones remained. However with beta 7 they all appear to work just fine. I wonder what changed each time.

Just upgraded my 2011 27 iMac. It's got a homebrew Fusion Drive and I was not offered the option to upgrade to APFS. I tried to do so via Disc Utility after booting into recovery, but the option was greyed out. Does anyone know the current situation with Fusion Drives and APFS? Googling throws up vague and contradictory info about whether they will ever be supported...

Apple today seeded the eighth beta of an upcoming macOS High Sierra update to developers for testing purposes, one week after seeding the seventh beta and more than two months after introducing the new software at the 2017 Worldwide Developers Conference.

The eighth beta of macOS High Sierra can be downloaded from the Apple Developer Center or over-the-air using the Software Update mechanism in the Mac App Store.

Aaaaand still doesn't run properly on an external SSD..... (drive will disconnect at random, thereby freezing the OS. Previous versions of MacOS/OSX don't exhibit this issue)

A few things changed since last beta.

1. New Install screen after restart.

2. Update Folders are different, used to be /Library/Updates/*Numbered Folder, it changed to /Library/Updates/**AtomicUpdate/Numbered Folder

* Something like this: 90-123
** Don't recall the exact naming but Atomic was in the name

Only issue I am currently seeing on my 2016 MacBook Pro is with running First Aid under disk utility. It completely locks up. I can however run it if I boot into recovery mode.
