Eight betas! Can I trust them and download the stable version as soon as it is released or should I wait and see if there are any major bugs that could brick my MacBook?
Crazy comments showing up here. Had Sierra 10.12.4 been released after 5 Betas and it had been buggy there would have been uproar. Keep the Betas coming if it ensures a solid stable update. As it stands with some of you guys Apple are damned our they do and damned if they don't. You cannot have it both ways. Whatever the opinion it is nothing like the rollercoaster ride of Windows 10 Insider Preview which I also participate in.

My life is so lame, that this is the most exciting thing to happen to me all day.
(((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((:):::
If this does not include getting my ethernet port to work again after it was disabled by a prior update.....I will pass.

Nightshift is all good... but when will we get a full dark theme option through out the MacOS.

for example :

Exactly. I have a plugin for Chrome that makes web pages red text on black background (but leaves images), and you can feel your eyes physically relax when it's toggled from white to black.

The amber tinting is nice, especially during the day, but it's no substitute for dark background when the lighting gets low.

Did I miss the inclusion of the file system in 10.12.4?

When I was running the PB, I didn't notice it...

This is the reason why I downloaded the 10.12.3 update earlier today. I'm still on El Capitan so that all of the assorted utilities I use have "absorbed" the impact of Sierra long before I attempt to upgrade them. For example, my Homebrew.txt (via `brew bundle dump`) has 90+ items. I'm going to be damn sure they work before doing anything major.

To your point, flipping the switch on APFS in a point update seems risky. Better to do an OS upgrade when HFS+ is still in play, and not have to jump that hurdle at the same time.

That's why APFS won't be live until next MacOS or even later.

At WWDC last June, there was a slide which indicated it will be the default file system for all products at some point this year. My concern here - other than my own upgrade situation - is a) That somebody high up on the org chart might have decided to green light an effort to convert iOS and macOS at the same time and b) APFS might have shown up in a late beta of 10.12.4 and then been released on short notice.

While I do have a developer account, the ability to download past updates or combo updaters is sometimes iffy because Apple's default answer for getting Xcode is through the App Store.

No. It's only going to be on iOS (10.3) at this point in time

And available for Terminal use. I reckon that a lot of these betas do introduce changes and whatnot to the APFS stuff, even though it'll have no user-facing influence before presumably macOS 10.13. If you want to see how your app works with the new file system, you can create an APFS container through the Terminal

It would be nice if my LG 4K monitor would work properly with my MacBook Pro 2016 instead of failing to awaken after sleep and occasionally causing a crash upon wakeup that requires a restart. To me a fix of that issue is much more important than Night Shift.

Beta 8 isn't showing on my MBP - showed up on my other Mac, but won't appear on this one. I reinstalled the Beta profile and still no go. Anyone have any suggestions?

This. Fixing the 3 finger drag issue would be good to have before anything else in my book as well.

I have similar wake issues with a HDMI 1080p display on my MacBook Pro 2016 only if I drag the menu bar to it in the display setting making it the primary display.

I meant mainstream. iOS 10.3 is converting everyone to the new file system. I'm pretty sure that's what the other person was asking..
