I just did beta 8 update and found that iCloud back up may have a problem. When I go to do a backup to the cloud it says backing up then goes to updating icloud and stays there for ever. I let it go for 5 hours still never finished. I don’t know if I got a good backup in the cloud or not. I did however backup to iTunes on my MBA.

You all must not have gmail accounts if you’re still using Apple mail.

Try seven Gmail accounts, a Hotmail account and an iCloud account. All actively used. Last time I bothered with the Google app, it was clunky, and couldn't organise all of my email - Google and non-Google - in the same place. I love iOS Mail. Not so much mac OS Mail.

1. Still no haptic feedback in the keyboard. Nuts.
Was there any public expectation that this would be added?

2. Still notifications center needs a MAJOR redo. It's ridiculous.

A major redo will almost never happen, because Apple can't do a "nuke from orbit" revolutionary change against a feature developers have targeted for 12 years. Instead, the push is for evolutionary changes.

A revolutionary change would result in that new Notification Center sitting right next to the old Notification Center for the next few years.

That said, even those evolutionary changes would not wander into a random build - they would be something announced at WWDC, so that developers have time to adapt.

I'm guessing you didn't bother to submit any feedback to Apple, and instead decided to rant on a forum where no one can really do anything about it.

Wrong.
I have been submitting feedback and requests for years. Probably since iPhone 4.
Apple almost never listens to its money makers. They just take the money and run.

I really hope you're not waiting for notification center overhauls between betas.

I'm not. I'm just making a point of all these features they keep adding to their os but never something basic as the two items I mentioned.

Anyone having problems with “adding persons” in files app??
Last beta I was able to see shared folders with the add persons function.

But with this version I cannot see the folders, and I cannot share and add persons to a new one, the option is not in the menu.

if this helps, on Mac and on iCloud Drive (web version) is working.

Still have missing Sent and Deleted folders in my POP mail account in Mail. Been feeding this back since PB1. Mail is still a mess and we’re not far from GM date...

Hmm. The mail read status is still nuts. Needs a double click to get updated.

Before I submit a report, are the following glitches on Reminders app?

* In Schedule, if you enter a new Reminder, it takes several seconds for the date and time options to appear.

* In Schedule, you only have the + symbol to add new reminders on each date. There isn't a default + option at the top or bottom of the screen. Quite annoying when you have a lot of reminders and you have to scroll down to add a new one.

iPadOS vanishing icons when doing haptic touch. I’m on PB7. Is this fixed in beta8?

Right guys, I've been doing a bit of testing on the Reminders app.

Right now my Reminders screen looks like the screen below. The List blacked out is my .mac / iCloud list. I haven't yet Upgraded My Lists, so does that mean that the app I see below is the old Reminders app? What would happen if i DID Upgrade My Lists? Is this the thing that will prevent reminders syncing across to older iOS and El Capitan?

The tests I done were:

* I added a reminder on iOS 13 (iPad). This reminder synced across to my iPhone running iOS 12 and Mac OS El Capitan.

* Added a reminder on MacOS El Capitan. This synced again to both iOS 12 & 13.

* Added a reminder on iOS 12 & 13 .mac List. These synced to all devices.

So, so far all is working as normal. Therefore, I'm very tempted to upgrade my daily iPhone to iOS 13.

But the BIG question is, what would happen if I were to hit the Blue 'Upgrade' button next to lists?

PS How frustrating is it that there is not + button at the top of the screen to add new reminders! You have to scroll down to the bottom of 'Today' to see the + option.

Previous. Maybe two back. I swear I was on the latest update but the software update today said beta 7 not beta 8 and no beta 8 is appearing. I updated and *knock on wood* things seem to be ok.

If it’s the public beta then that’s correct. Beta 8 and Public beta 7 are the same thing

I have one minor problem. Playback via Bluetooth (such as to my car stereo) used to be independent of the volume level set on my phone. In other words, even if my phone was set to a low or high volume, the volume level of music or podcast playback was consistent (level 15-17 perfect). Now I often get no playback until I increase the phone volume.

If it is sill the case after this update, I will report it to Apple.

I have to force quit the app and relaunch. It also doesn’t show notifications on Apple Watch even though you get the Taptic buzz.
So far in this beta it seems to be resolved! Although I can't speak for the watch notifications because I don't have that enabled. It was blowing up my wrist with all the emails I get all the time haha

I use mine for work too and most of what I do is highly time sensitive. Watch mail notifications are incredible for that.

I just received a work email and I got a proper notification that opened the email as it should so that’s improvement. However, I had the phone unlocked so I didn’t get the watch notification. I’m guessing that’s been resolved as well but time will tell.

Ah actually I should've been more specific. I have my personal emails disabled from my watch notifications, but my work emails which go thru the Outlook app, do come to my watch for similar reasons. Work emails are generally more important and time sensitive than the all the junk I get sent to my personal accounts

Another week, and probably another broken Files app and Mail app. I'm losing hope.
Can you even imagine what this is going to be like when it is seeded to everyone?

Of course, I called this back at beta 2 that this is what we are in for.

Not sure what the mail issues are that you are referring to but I have 11 email accounts setup in my mail app and all work perfectly. I have exchange, gmail, yahoo, bluehost, icloud, and inbox accounts all setup without issues.

anyone having issues with airplay screen mirroring? can't get mine to work with gen 2 apple tv, but does work with gen 3. Also, maybe related, when attaching apple usb-c digital av multiport adapter works when connecting hdmi to projector, but doesn't work when connecting to samsung tv.

For anyone who has installed iOS 13 over your iOS 12, did your Maps bookmarks/favorites carry over into the new format and interface? I have tons saved and it makes me a bit anxious, as none of my iOS 13 devices (SE, X, iPad mini) have any of them, even though I installed iOS 13 right on top of my previous install.
