Is anyone else having bluetooth issues? It may be mentioned in here somewhere already. My AirPods will not stay connected for more than about five seconds.
And still no Bluetooth-indicator on my 5S in the statusbar. Agghhhhhh. Did leave feedback fot the fourth time.
Fast and Furious got worse with each release. The opposite has been true for the iOS betas.
I wouldn't complain about regular improvements to a beta before release.
Even iOS versions (2,4,6,8,10,12) are good. Odd versions (3,5,7,9,11) are pure, complete, utter and absolute garbage.
Well that would be good news! It is literally pointless to use the iPad Mini 2 with iOS11, even as a every now and then kitchen device. It is such a shame, really! But, it’s great to hear that it comes back to life with iOS12! I will enroll it and bless it with some better code! Thanks for the info!updated on my iPad mini 2. This small wonderful device has actually become usable again.
I had the same! Right after unlock, before sim unlock on iPhone 7 Plus.Is anyone getting a pop up dialogue to update the iOS?
I am on this latest public beta, and I am getting the message upon the screen unlock.
That is up to Waze to make it public, it’s not in any way related to iOS, if I’m not mistaken.[doublepost=1535407942][/doublepost]Unfortunately they have not yet made waze available on Apple CarPlay as promised.
Still would be 16A5365 (you made a typo there: one would never have a 365 as a GM after a 5365b)The GM is not a beta. And it will actually be released after the Special Event keynote as “iOS 12”
Also to recognize a beta from a GM look at the build number:
• Beta: 16A5365b
• GM: 16A365
Newly added is newly added. If one wants to pop in other music (?) in an automatically generated list, change the order of songs or oranise it in any other way, perhaps the error is in that brain rather than in the service?I’m not running the betas but can anyone who is confirm for me that Apple Music now allows you to organise/sort your music as “recently added”. I never renewed my Apple Music subscription back when it first launched due to this feature not being present. Today I finally renewed and I can’t believe this feature still isn’t available in the current iOS. This is literally a make or break for me. If this feature isn’t within iOS 12, I’ll be sticking with Spotify.
On what device are you? With a 7 Plus, it’s been a bumpy road, really. To that extent that I had to give up my phone at times: freezing, respringing, slow sharings (sound familiar)...iOS 12 has made me fall in love with iOS again. It just doesn’t fail. It works quickly and is rock solid for me so far. I’m with you on this one.
And when it works, and your kid wants you to supply a hotspot with that iphone: boom! CarPlay gone.CarPlay crackle and pop still not listed as a known issue yet? CarPlay has been broken since 11.3!
totally agree! I believe I had two or three messages in there asking if a certain issue persisted after a next update. There is a high chance that nobody is reading those.
Have you ever got anything in your inbox? Feedback app might be somewhat usable, but inbox function of that app is just waste of time and space.
Meh:Really? When I open the music app and go to my downloaded songs, the only options I have from clicking sort in the top right hand corner is “Title” or “Artist”, no option for recently added.
Thanks for your reply. But I’m pretty much aware there is a recently added section within Apple Music. I don’t believe your understanding what I am asking. When selecting your downloaded “songs” the options to display your downloaded songs currently within iOS 11 is as “title” or “artist”. What I am asking is if there is the feature within iOS 12 to change this to “recently added” or “date” order. When listening to my music this would be my preferred way to listen.Meh:
Don’t worry though. I’ve found my answer without any sarcastic remarks via twitter. iOS 12 will provide the option within Apple Music to organise my downloaded songs within a “recently added” order.Meh:

Bluetooth symbol is still missing in the top bar. Very annoying
No problem! Guessing your running the iOS 12 betas too? The smart playlists seem very appealing. Shame a lot of actions still have to be utilised via iTunes and not directly within the appWell indeed, you are right! My bad...
I never ever used it in that way, as I am a playlist junkie. I have plenty of them, and one of them is a smart list, containing most recent songs (okay, these were mostly fixed on iTunes on a Mac).
I found it here too, and may perhaps use it in the future. If you do it, there might be a good deal of advantages to it.
My apologies!
No, but the new release of Open VPN 3.0 does. (Came out today.)
I’m running now on version 3 it updated automatically yesterday. Description of the app didn’t say anything about iOS 12 compatibility. Where did you see that? or are you already running OpenVPN Connect 3 over latest beta of iOS 12?

A) I think Apple are assuming the majority of people now have Bluetooth on and don’t need the icon to remind them. Why?

B) No room because everyone gets a notch from now on!

What’s the reason for having it there? Looking at my top bar, cell branding and signal strength to know what you have. WiFi to know if you’re burning your cell or home data. GPS, I wish would go away. And battery to know where I’m at. Bluetooth isn’t needed, unless it’s showing how much battery is left on my speakers, and maybe that it’s outputting to speakers.
Pencil and BeatsX battery levels can be found in the Batteries widget to the left of the Home screen. Perhaps your device can be too? (I’m using the latest iOS 12 public beta.)Hmmmm… I use a Plantronics Voyager Edge headset--must to use the phone because of hearing impairment--and that model reports battery usage to iOS; if the Bluetooth indicator goes, I wonder if that means I'll lose the battery indicator too. Additionally, to answer the question, because of myriad iOS Bluetooth problems mostly involving A2DP usage by mono headsets, I have disabled A2DP in my headset and need/use the Bluetooth indicator to show that my headset is connected. (In other words, did I turn my headset off and forget about that?)
Perhaps I need to start doing some testing with my headset and iOS 12. I rue doing so, because of the sheer number of bug reports I've had to file against the Bluetooth implementations for the past several years. I'm rather operating on the idea that if I just ignore it all, Apple might accidentally "get it right". Heh, not bloody likely, but it is less anxiety-inducing.
