Based on previous OSs, GM probably won't be until the last week of August or the first week or September. Usually, it's very close to when they have their keynote.

I'm already using whatsapp. It's cross platform. I don't know why Apple is putting that much effort in a messaging app only few people use. I'm very happy that they do, don't get me wrong but there are so much other apps that need attention more. Unless they make iMessage cross platform 🙂

Play is one word you could use. Facilitate might be another.

Big selling point would be if it can speak to other messengers as well. But I do understand your point. I only think it's a little late now because the share of iPhones are rapidly schrinking where I live.

not for me, lots and lots of resprings, freezing/crashing on every ios10 beta that I've used.

Release notes have only EVER shown SDK changes for the mostpart. Their intention is not to describe OS fixed or new features. You think you're being helpful, but you're not.

Maybe, I do know what Apple does. That being said, maybe you are also right. That being said, releasing new beta software with absolutely no information about what has changed, just means that Apple is not doing because they want better quality, or because they want testers, they are just doing it for the publicity. That is not IMO very valuable in the overall scheme of things as it relates to quality.

I haven't used it for like two years. And in my family, everyone owns an iPhone. Same story. We use WhatsApp here. Actually, WhatsApp is by far the most popular messaging service in the Netherlands. 😛

Can we please have the typing sound changed back to the original? For the love of God, the new sound sounds like a guy in wet socks walking on wet cardboard. Hideous. Makes me mute the phone with every keypress.
