Can anyone confirm that the bug where Safari Extensions cannot be enabled has been fixed?

Seriously, no release today?! Wow.

The software and released used to be good. They just keep finding more issues than not. Probably says something about their quality control. The #NewApple is such a disappointment.
Complains about Apple taking time to make sure the release is correct and also them not releasing it today. This is actually hilarious.😂

Wow, I was expecting a release today too! Hmmm, maybe they are going for some serious stability improvements?

One would hope. The latest beta didn't help with syncing photos from the Photos app to iOS devices (for large libraries mostly). Hopefully this one will.

Thank god, that annoys me more than it should haha.

Thing is, shouldn't annoy any Mac user, even if it was there - you shouldn't have to shutdown or restart a Mac unless it's for updates - but with this OS it's a 3x daily routine having to reboot for one thing or another.

Does this fix the iCloud upload bug? I had to downgrade after iCloud was stuck on "waiting to upload"

Nice! By the time my Macbook gets delivered it should be out and I can use it from day 1.

Can someone post the release notes for 10.15.5? I wonder if the following issues have been resolved:
  • iCloud Bookmarks not getting migrated to Cloudkit. Synchronisation of bookmarks and reading list does not work
  • Slow Wifi after resuming from standby if Apple Watch unlock is configured
  • Kernel Panics when resuming from standby if Power Nap is enabled
Thanks

Fair enough, though I like to shut down even every couple days to give the hardware a break. I know others are having issues (which sucks), but I’m not necessarily a power user, so my use case is a little different in terms of uncovering bugginess.

Hmmm...so they pick now to break their streak of releasing the Public Beta within an hour or so of the Dev? An old bug popped up in the current Public Beta - losing Bluetooth connectivity to the mouse pad and keyboard. This needs to go away...hopefully in this release.

agreed. I’ll probably build a hackintosh given they don’t take the platform seriously as they used to. This MacBook will be my last as I’m tired of lackluster support and development. Surprising for my household having gone from Apple lovers to just this is the least offensive option.
Throw that in one of your keynotes mr cook. “Customers stay with us because we aren’t the worst option.”....

Suit yourself. Personally, I just bought a new 13" MBP because it's the best machine for my photography hobby. macOS is awesome - I can't imagine using anything else for photography.

has anyone had any issues with wifi calling on your MacBook or iPhone? specifically the upgrade to wifi calling missing on the FaceTime app on macOS and add wifi calling for other devices on iOS

MR continually fails to mention one really important aspect of 10.15.5, which is the support for OTOY's Octane rendering software. There's some serious under-the-hood stuff going on with Metal to make Octane (and possibly other apps) work, which probably has important implications for GPU support, yet it's never even mentioned in these 'news' stories.

I should add Bluetooth issues to your list. You can find more information on Apple's communities forum. https://discussions.apple.com/thread/8150033
It drives me crazy at least 2-3 times a week and I have to restart my MacBook Pro every time it happens.

PUBLIC BETA 4 just released. I'll update with the build number. 3.36GB.

I haven't even made the leap to 10.15 yet because I don't want to lose my oh-so-handy Dashboard widgets! 🥺 .... and I don't have enough free space on my drive. That's an important factor. 😆😆

Sweet! That drove me crazy. Would someone tell me how they screw stuff like this up that has always worked to begin with?

Software is COMPLEX. I wish users would appreciate that a bit more. It's truly amazing how well they manage to keep their OS's working as well as they do. It's not like they can write code once and have it work perfectly forever more. Software is very organic with lots of moving pieces that need to be kept updated over time to stay compatible with new features, etc.

I hope this fixes MBP 16 freezing/stuttering when utilizing the iGPU (or automatic graphics switching option is enabled), and the sleep kernel panics. Wouldn't hold my breath though. It's Apple, you know..
