Wait it's Thursday how can this be?? Lol

Please post your results I'm not sure I want to go through all this again but if results are spectacular I might.

It is pretty stable for me. But there is no guarantee which apps will work and which not. I have one game that I don't care too much about that does not work and also the new Apple news app keeps crashing 90% of the time I try to use it. Otherwise I don't have any issues and I use it on my main phone. Battery life is fantastic.

so use it on your own risk, there is no guarantee that your most favorite/important app will work.

EDIT: btw, I use the dev beta ... but shouldn't be a too different experience from the public beta.

Maybe later tonight I will archive 8.4 and then go for it. And yes, I realize I can only have beta 4 as a Public Beta tester.

Hopefully it will be as good as the previous ones (except the last, beta 4, which was the laggiest (is this a word?) iOS i have ever used (and yes, i had been using the first couple of betas of iOS 7 as well!)
Moreover, it's time to optimize the new Music.app as well because it drains battery like hell if you're streaming on wifi/lte...
The other day i was listening to music at work, and suddenly from my phone alerted me because of the 20% battery threshold. My phone was at 78% an hour earlier (!). Beside this, i feel that beta 2 was the best in terms of battery life, so it's time to get back to it in this case.

I am a part of the beta program, but I haven't tried a beta since 8.4. Is this beta stable enough yet?

Running 8.4 on my 128GB 6+.

I'm in the public beta program. not a developer. Sorry, time to get new contacts. :(

I'm on the public beta and have the exact same phone as you. It's a bit laggy on app exits, photos app is horrendous when taking multiple shots and photo editing is buggy. Siri searches are buggy. Apart from that it works fine. I do think that iOS is getting a lot slower with each release.

The OS itself is getting pretty stable, however still lots of issues with other applications that crash or won't open at all (SSG2, Spotify, Groupon) are a couple that I've noticed.

Still waiting on the performance improvements to bring back to life some of the devices that really went downhill starting with iOS7 (iPhone 4/4s, iPad 2). But so far at least on my old iPad 2 it hasn't. Hopefully still lots of debug code on slowing things down.

My 5th gen iPod Touch is VERY slow with these betas so far. From what I remember, this happened with iOS 8 as well, and ultimately the release version was faster, but not THAT much faster.

Wait wut? I found beta 4 to be the most stable one so far. Beta 3 was good as well, but beta 4 felt like how the GM/public release will be. Except for a little bit lag in the app switcher.

Anyway, downloading beta 5 from Dev Center right now. Of course I'm hoping that even that little bit of lag in the app switcher is gone now. That would be great! :)

I've been using the Public Beta on my iPhone 6 since the first release. It was very laggy and frustrating the first few betas, so I tried to profile trick to get the developer updates. As of today, the beta has been really solid for me. Very few minor problems and I'm enjoying using all the new features. I'd suggest anyone curious about the beta for their phone to try it out now.

My one problem is that Spotify crashes whenever I launch a song. Does that happen for anyone else?
