Wait wut? I found beta 4 to be the most stable one so far. Beta 3 was good as well, but beta 4 felt like how the GM/public release will be. Except for a little bit lag in the app switcher.

Anyway, downloading beta 5 from Dev Center right now. Of course I'm hoping that even that little bit of lag in the app switcher is gone now. That would be great! :)

Beta 4 has been crazy laggy and very unstable. Has rebooted multiple times and so slow I am using a seperate phone on the side due to lockups, etc.

Maybe it depends on what device you got, i don't know, but a simple Settings.app opening takes 2-3 seconds, not to mention the super lagginess of the main menu when swipe between pages.. :( (iPhone 6 here)

Same thing on my 6 Plus. Very laggy just opening an app or moving from one page of apps to the next. It has been horrible.

I've been using the Public Beta on my iPhone 6 since the first release. It was very laggy and frustrating the first few betas, so I tried to profile trick to get the developer updates. As of today, the beta has been really solid for me. Very few minor problems and I'm enjoying using all the new features. I'd suggest anyone curious about the beta for their phone to try it out now.

My one problem is that Spotify crashes whenever I launch a song. Does that happen for anyone else?
I'm using it almost every day without any problems

To all those asking about stability, it will be function of what apps you are using. I still have a number of apps that don't properly switch to landscape mode. I end up with a little window. I have hard rebooted to make sure that it is persistent and it is. IDK if that is the result of problems with the beta or incorrect programming on the part of certain developers, but as with all beta software, if you rely on something to make your living or other critical functions don't put betas on it.

It's quite easy to dual boot a Mac with two versions of OS X, but unless you have an extra phone be wary. I don't have anything on my phone that would cause me serious problems if it didn't work so, I like to play with new stuff. If you're worried about something not working, again betas are probably not for you.

It's been very stable for me on my iPhone 6 (Public Beta) and somewhat functional on my iPad 2 (Developers Beta)

Could be. I am using a 6 Plus

No OTA update available for me on my iPad Air 2. Hopefully this fixes the mouse splitting glitch in Duet Display. Otherwise Beta 4 has been pretty good for me.

Something I really miss is the swipe forward in Safari which is now replaced with multitasking. I understand the need for it, but it would be nice if we could have some other gesture or perhaps even a toolbar layout where the browser controls are at the bottom like on the iPhone. I'd like that along with an option to have the browser controls not disappear when scrolling. The iPad has plenty of screen space—I shouldn't have to tap in two different places to do one thing.

Well, I've got an iPhone 6 as well. :p

Do have to say that the Health app seems to take ages to load (where it usually loads as quick as all other basic apps like Settings and Messages). But other apps (including Settings and switching between pages!) perform perfectly normal. And again, overall it's very smooth here. Only the app switcher sometimes shows little lag, but not in a way that it ruins the experience.

Oh. I thought it was a bug? What do you mean replaced by multitasking? If you're in Safari, I don't understand why can can't swipe to go forward?

Are you talking about the 4-finger swipe to switch apps? If so, the direction has changed. It used to pull to the left and now it pulls to the right. Similar to the direction change for multitask. Maybe I misunderstood your comment though.

If you want the controls to show at the top of a browser just touch the browser bar. They will pop back into view. You could pull down quickly as well on the page but its easier to just touch the bar.
