Hmm you know what, I bet the calculator bug wasn't a bug after all. I bet it was supposed to be an iOS versioning tool that they re-purposed as a calculator. Or maybe they used the calculator to create all the new version #'s for upcoming releases before they fixed it.
haha
and because they released new versions too quickly the calculator app couldnt keep up...hence the skipped numbers

iMessage in the Cloud is probably deserving of more major version change, as in 11.3, not 11.2.5. I hope to be proven wrong, of course.
Maybe its read as iOS 11 2.5 As in 2 1/2 and this is in place of the 11.3 folks were expecting. Not quite enough stuff for a .3 so they use 2 1/2 instead. :)

AirPlay 2 has returned in iOS 11.2.5. So, I guess this update is supposed to get everything ready for the HomePod release early next year.

11.2.5?! Does that mean they already have fixes pending for .2, .3, and .4? What is going on with Apple software?

Either that, or it's a half-step. Like, say, System 7.1 → 7.5 → 7.6 → 8 or Mac OS 8 → 8.1 → 8.5 → 8.6 → 9.

So a kinda bigger release than normal but not big enough to make it to 11.3? lol

Yup.

Surely they are not skipping to 11.2.5. They just told us that a number of updates will be coming.

They also went iOS 4.2, 4.2.1, 4.2.5, 4.3 in the past.

I'd like for them to change the way you close programs on the X, get rid of that press and hold to activate

Why do you frequently find yourself having to close programs?

Anyone feels that the battery life drains more than 11.2? My iPad Pro and iPhone X does drain much more than usual betas.

What happened to 11.2.2 or 11.2.3 or 11.2.4?
iOS 11.2.5 aims to fix those bugs that 11.2.3 and 11.2.4 would have reïntroduced.

They’ve probably got urgent patches to push out between now and the final of 11.2.5 like they did in the past when they skipped over a release number(s).
Actually iOS 4.2.x skipped exactly the same way. 4.2.1 went directly to 4.2.5 then all the way up to 4.2.10 in order. So no 4.2.2 thru 4.2.4 was ever released.
