Why do you frequently find yourself having to close programs?

Didn't say anything about having to close programs frequently but when I want to close them I rather swipe them away.
Not everyone wants to leave every app they use open/froze in the background.

It looks like there are new animations when opening Safari on my iPhone X when it shows the grid of favorite websites... very subtle, but I definitely never noticed it before

You can swipe them away though. It just requires a half second tap-and-hold first.

What is iCloud message? Is that only keeping all your iDevices in sync and storing message in the cloud and not on your phone? If so not important to me unless I can somehow also send messages from iCloud.

I'd like for them to change the way you close programs on the X, get rid of that press and hold to activate

When you unlock the phone, instead of having to swipe from the bottom, you need to be able to swipe up anywhere on the screen or at least more of where you thumb sits naturally.

A True Dark Mode.

Get rid of the white/black bar at the bottom. I don't need a reminder to swipe up from here or at least make it an option to turn on or off in settings.

If they want to add an always on clock/calendar option I wouldn't cry about it as long as you can toggle on or off
That's pretty much it:D

Agreed!

I don’t see why they don’t employ a swipe up and pause as is but instead of holding to show the red close identifier why don’t they just have a swipe up or down to close the app. I do t know why there’s a need for the red close identifier at all.

Likely so that people don't accidentally swipe away and close an app as they are going into the app switcher. So the extra hold step is there to avoid that and the red close icons are there to show when you are in the actual mode when you can close the apps (as opposed to simply go through them to select one to use).

Found the extra step annoying at first, but grew to appreciate it in only a few minutes.

Maybe Apple will come up with a different, more fluid way to close apps.... Or not, since one of them said "it's not necessary". (can't remember who...)

When you go into the app switch. You have to swipe up and hold, the switcher isn't activated until you take your finger off the screen, at that point it's the same as the app switcher on the 8,7,6 etc, you should be able to just swipe at that point. It's an extra step that isn't needed but it's probably here to stay

Again, not necessarily isn't needed as it can help avoid unintentional closing of the first app for some if that extra step wasn't there.

Not sure if mentioned (or in previous versions, I think MR did a story on it? ) but new ‘Not Playing’ banner when launching Music app.

Works as you’d expect: silences audio playback automatically!

Looks like people can stop downloading that silent song now
