So iOS version updates have now become a single feature update? 12.3 was primarily a Apple TV app update, and now 12.4 is for Apple Card support?

So in June will be 2 simultaneously different iOS beta versions to download? iOS 12.4 and iOS 13, will I be able to choose which one I want to download? Because I don’t think so...

Don’t we need different beta profiles for iOS 12 and iOS 13? So you should be able to install the one you like.

I would think by the time iOS 13 beta rolls around. That iOS 12.4 will be out of beta.

And like other users said. There’s profiles for different iOS versions. There will be a iOS 13 profile to help avoid confusion

I agree also, but I wonder if that means Apple will offer early access to Apple Card to beta participants. We won't be able to test the functionality otherwise.
The first public beta version of the new Apple Card will be able to be used nearly anywhere. You just won’t be able to buy anything.
:D

It’s simple. Buy another iOS device and run both.

Problem solved. You’re welcome.

There's very little "now" about this:
  • iOS 5.1 added hardware support and changed the camera app.
  • iOS 6.1 added carrier support had the ability to reset the advertising identifier.
  • iOS 7.1 added CarPlay.
  • iOS 8.1 added Apple Pay and Continuity.
  • iOS 8.2 added Apple Watch support.
  • iOS 8.3 added wireless CarPlay (and emoji).
  • iOS 8.4 added Apple Music.
  • iOS 9.1 added hardware support (and emoji).
  • iOS 9.2 added hardware support (and some carrier/international fixes).
  • iOS 9.3 actually added a bunch of stuff.
I'm going to stop there because I've already way more effort in than you did.

I wasn’t sure if we were going to see another beta... or even a release (besides 12.3.1 for example) until iOS 13 but glad to see they are doing more. This will likely go into June/July before release (but by then iOS 13 will be in testing!)

Update came in OTA on my iPad Pro 12.9 (newest) at 2.85 GB updating from full release of 12.3

For iOS 13 there will be separate beta profile...

Apple has been giving Apple Cards to employees for beta testing.

So nothing is new? What is the point in constantly releasing updates with absolutely nothing new. Please Apple slow it down.

So you don't understand that some updates are under the hood and don't benefit you specifically? What is the point in people constantly commenting here with absolutely nothing new or beneficial to say. Please MacRumors slow it down.

12.4 will definitely NOT be the final update before iOS 13. There's more tweaks to come.

Says who? You? Lol ok.

I can see by your examples how something like adding Apple Watch support equates to adding Apple credit card support.

Or CarPlay. Or Apple Music. Or Apple Pay. ALL of which are major additions to the infrastructure compared to an Apple credit card that only interests a fraction of iPhone users.
