Apple Seeds First Beta of macOS 12 Monterey to Developers

Strange. I just tried and could drag a tab to the pinned websites area...

Looking again today, the behaviour I'm seeing is when I drag one over to the left, it sort of slides under the <> arrows. If I keep going, it pops out as a new window. I guess at this stage, its hard to know what things might be bugs, and what might be deliberate decisions.

With this, it may be a bug when there are now pinned tabs, that doesn't happen when there are. The way mine disappeared was a bit odd.

Hi, is anyone else having a problem where their Mac if left in sleep mode for a few minutes the screen will go black but show its backlight. Won't respond to any keyboard or mouse input and the only fix I've found is a hard reboot.

If anyone is interested, this is what I see in my logs.

The People section of my photos was all indexed months ago. On Monterey now, I'm getting this in the People section:

0 Photos Scanned
Photos will continue scanning your remaining 3,393 photos when you're not using the app and your
Mac is connected to power.​

However, when I click on the "View People Album" button below this message, it all seems fine, so I have no idea what it means. But it hasn't changed from 0 since yesterday afternoon.

What time is it now ? Just kidding still awaiting your eGPU test. I just bought Sapphire 6900 Toxic Extreme version and Sonnet 750ex but not showing up on my 2020 iMac. really upset about it. Some said Toxic Extreme use different NAVI version but no idea.

How is your test with eGPU ? Thanks advanced.

ha! yep, works like a champ! some apps like final cut wouldn't load unless I rebooted with the eGPU plugged in and on. And also, looks like Final Cut Pro is *kind of* being accelerated by my eGPU cause I can see in activity monitor, but it still seems to prefer the built in GPU of my MBP 16. But I think that is because I have my monitors both plugged in to my Mac directly instead of the eGPU (2x XDR Pros).

Reboot once after you install the beta utility maybe? I've installed in in VMware Fusion and it runs, but the Internet of the VM no longer works.

Has anyone else gotten a black screen after updating from Big Sur VM to macOS 12 Monterey? Is it some setting which is not correct? The apple logo shows and then when you should be greeted with the login screen - the screen is totally black.

My M1 MBA seems really fast and responsive. Surprised with a first dev beta.

Same goes for my Mac Mini M1. Much more smoother than Big Sur ever was.
