Apple Seeds First Betas of iOS and iPadOS 14 to Developers

I gotta say, pretty happy with it so far on both my iPad Pro and iPhone Pro. Lots of little changes, feels fluid, some nice app improvements. I don’t feel like there’s much of a drop off performance wise.

If you aren’t careful, you can install the iOS14 certificate into your iPad instead of the iPadOS14 certificate. Came close to tapping the wrong option when I hit the developer site earlier.

I have no problem waiting for Apple to release these features in a way that maintains the UI, performances and other aspects of the OS that Android doesn't think about when they release things. I've always appreciated when Apple takes their time to get it right - unlike with Maps and other things that they went public with too fast. We've seen what happens when they wait and when they don't - I prefer they wait.

Thanks. That's exactly the mistake I made. But when I downloaded the ipad os profile and tried to do a software update...notified the software was up to date.

I haven't had a lot of time to play around with iOS14 yet but I do have it installed on my iPhone and iPad. On the iPad, do the widgets just stay on the left side of the screen still? I tried moving them around and they just fly back to that side. Kinda disappointing there.

That was the first thing I tried on my iPad too, without success.
 
Note to UK users - Starling Bank App doesn’t work.
All of my other apps seem fine (including Lloyds Bank)

For UK users: Barclays mobile does not work on iOS 14 but strangely enough it does work on iPadOS 14 just fine...
All other banking apps work fine for me (Lloyds, Halifax, American Express, Yolt). Hargreaves Lansdown and Charles Schwab working too.

Also for UK users:
- Banking Working: Nationwide, MBNA, Halifax, Amex, NatWest, First Direct, Metro Bank, Fidelity (Investment Bank), Tesco Bank & Alpha Bank (Greek Bank). Not working: Barclays & Barclaycard (Thinks phone is jailbroken).
- Social Media Working: Instagram, YouTube, WhatsApp, Snapchat, Telegram, TikTok.
- Other Working: Audi, BorrowBox (Library App), BBC News, 1Password, Spotify, Vodafone, Dropbox, Excel, Duolingo, Feedly, Amazon, Netflix, OneNote, MS Teams, Alexa, OS Maps, eBay. Not Working: Sky+ (Some elements).
