Updated to 18.1 on an iPhone 15 Pro in the US but my Siri is still the old one. I requested to be testing the AI version but no luck so far all day. What do I need to do? It says “Joined Waitlist” anyone else?

Got it after a couple of minutes when I was in photos and clicked on edit and then the new clean up feature. Maybe that was related, maybe not.

I can't get my MBP M2 to update; it just keeps falling. Any ideas?
Me too. Last night, I was getting an error saying "Failed to personalize ..." Google-ing that problem suggested turning of location services, but that did not work. This AM, I am being prompted to Restart, and have to give my admin password, and then give it again, and then it fails.

Had that as well. Someone mentioned something with Find my Mac. So I turned it on, restarted, turned it off. It worked. Could have been just the restart, too. But I guess worth a try.

Well, I was trying to revert to 18 so that I can restore from backup tomorrow but of course I can't get it into DFU mode. They obviously don't want us doing it. :(
15 Pro Max
Got it. Such a pain.
No longer required. I simply connected my 15 running 18.1 to my new 16 p.m. and it recognized that it needed to upgrade 18.0 Tabatah 18.1 before transferring any information. It did so on its own. Works perfectly.

Siri doesn’t want to be smarter over here. Almost 24 hours later I’m still not seeing the glow

If you have anything lower than and iPhone 15 Pro is there anything new in these updates? From what I can see it doesn’t even give the new Siri UI.

Mine seemed to be "stuck" on Joined Waitlist too.

I did a couple things, and it worked. In Settings->Apple Intelligence & Siri, Try changing from English (US) to English (Canada), then back to English (US). Then under Talk to Siri, Change to off for both Voice and Side Button, then back on. This triggered a new Siri setup for me.

Then a minute or 2 later, the Apple Intelligence beta started (Settings notification popup)

Hope this helps.

It worked!! Thank you!

Sucks for all of us with unsupported phones. We're probably going to get next to nothing new for the foreseeable future as everything they release is going to be Apple Intelligence based. Just watch as every new feature going forwards is going to "require" Apple Intelligence.

It's a pretty **** move to all of us that purchased 14 Pros. I would have held off another year if I would have known the phone was going to essentially be cut off after two years.

I get being a bit annoyed, but it still does everything it did when you decided to buy it.

I expanded on this in a later comment, but essentially, for the premium prices of these phones, along with the cutting edge hardware Apple advertises, I would expect mainstream support for at least four years.

Obviously Apple makes no guarantees about any future features, but I find it hypocritical of them to advertise such a powerful device, only for it not being considered good enough a couple years later.
