It was more of a tongue-in-cheek type of comment since it's not skeumorphism per se of course, but things like shadows and 3D aspects to something have been and are generally placed into that type of category (at least around these parts) vs the flat iOS 7+ design.

Or you can patiently wait until tomorrow to get the public beta, or find someone with a profile to share (which I won't post publicly). Don't see the need to spend $100 for licensing and Apple Store submissions if you aren't going to actually make use of it.

Best fix for that is to only have friends who use iMessage

It's supposed to be harsh green so you know that you are communicating insecurely in plaintext that can be read over the air.
