It's not overblown. I have a less than 2 year old iPhone 6 and it has so many issues. The apps don't load or crash. When they load there is a huge delay. It's been quite painful.

Seems the problems are your apps then, have they been updated? Remove push settings, check which settings have been reset, do a cold reboot and start no apps at all. Use only Apple apps, if there are no issue anywhere in Apple's part, the problems are likely with the third party applications themselves.

Always, really. Then why does Apple allow a user to use their product incorrectly. Especially if that product misuse could cause the loss of data? If this is infact a requirement, I call it BS, then Apple needs to clearly state that “without using Family Share you Will lose Data”. Show me where they do this in any documentation. Secondly the install program should, at the very least, put up a warning message, like “using a shared Apple ID will cause loss of Health Data”. Reality, a good program would Never allow a user to configure a system to potentially loose data, programming 101. Terrible implementation and supporting programming any way you look at it. Not what I expect from Apple.

Rest assured that I understand your frustration...
For Apple, it's as simple as one Apple ID is perceived as one person. This has always been the case.
in your case, you've decided that one Apple ID is one group of devices.

iCloud is synchronizing the same data across all devices on the same Apple ID because it's expected that all devices are for the same user. I believe that Health data has been added to iCloud sync in iOS 11... so this is why you are having problems now.

I guess you could disable iCloud sync for Health... but this might break a few thing with the Apple Watch now.

Again, I do not care what Apple ASSUMES we are all supposed to do by talk, where is it written? Additionally their job, make sure we do it, if actually a policy. If a policy, or configuration is not allowed, then Apple needs to make sure it does Not happen. Does not matter what I decide is correct, if my data lost, Apple assumes full responsibility if they allow me to configure a system outside of design specifications. I pay Apple a significant up charge in costs, to make sure my important data is secure.

I did most of the things except remove push settings. Just did a cold reboot again. Phone app took 6 seconds to load. I had installed iOS 11 clean and then restored from backup too. Absolutely no change. The phone seems to settle down for a day but starts to deteriorate again. Apple native apps take too much time to load. The phone gets stuck in landscape mode and I have to jump around to get it back to portrait mode. This was all fine with 10.3.3.

It’s actually proof the Youtuber doesn’t know what he’s doing. Stopped watching after he said pixel was faster but left the iPhone flash on. Real life usage the iPhone 8 is still miles ahead of the competition, but nice spin.

Nice rhetoric but no substance behind this post.
Well, YouTube is full of real life usage and maybe the A11 might look good on paper, it definitely not a runner in real life usage. It’s just painful to see that the new iPhone 8 stutters and scrolling through mud compared to the pixel fast and smooth scrolling.

Let me know if the iPhone 8 is a tenth of a millisecond faster when you see some

Apple becoming Sony! Instead of focusing on Stupid emoji they should fix iPhone 6x battery issue. It’s becoming more and more unbearable! Looks like idiots are sitting at Apple.
I wish Apple would be more like Sony. I see a steady stream of new things coming from that company and their phones look more modern than the iPhone 8. At least they deliver every year... and don’t forget, the iPhone camera’s are Sony. Whatever Apple tries to hype its Sony.

Well the pixel looks good on paper but that where it ends. Let me know how real world games and usage go as opposed to serial app opening videos. It looks great on paper to open an app a tenth of a second faster but oh that screen burn-in.

Some people with 6 don't have this issue. Do you have a specific config, big storage, small storage? Have you look to see if the system itself is tracking who uses the battery (or is this is untracked by the system itself, possible if its a bug I guess). 11.1 beta (which is about to be released anyway) seems to be a lot more snappy on all devices, so maybe that's your salvation.
Doing an early upgrade and testing for a week and then reverting before they stop signing is something I'd recommend to most people, especially those on older devices (or just skipping .0 and not upgrading until .1 or .2).

Just saw a video of someone testing battery life on 11.1. Seems like a huge improvement. Not sure why this fix didn’t come as part of any patch release.

Nice! This is the first iOS I've updated to before the x.1 update and it will also be the last.

I’m sure Google will fix this and will compensate the ones who have this problem. At least they admit while Apple used to tell customers that you’re holding the phone wrong, lol.

But back to the topic. It shows that android Oreo is very smooth on the Pixel 2, where as iOS 11 stutters and scrolls like mud through internet. Programs run also faster on the Pixel 2. If you don’t acknowledge that then there is nothing to convince you with facts.

iOS 11 is smooth as butter on iPhone 8. The iPhone 8 beats the pixel in testing. If you don’t do your homework before making brash statements there is nothing to convince you with the facts.

I am using the iOS beta, but other people I know with original watch running the standard iOS 11 ( non beta) have the option to select elevated heart rate notification, but I can’t. I just want to see if it’s a problem peculiar to me or whether the option has Been removed in the beta.

Well looks like it’s official - checked three original watches that worked on iOS 11.0.x and watchos4, now no longer have notifications for elevated heart rate .

Thanks Apple - way to show you care about your customers, remove a feature that you promote as a potential life saver. Nice!
