lol ... iCloud Messages was announced a millenia ago and it still has not arrived. What makes you think they are going to develop those battery life diagnostic tools within like 2 weeks since the backlash started
Oh, because the battery -hitstorm has been in every major news outlet, caused ~26 lawsuits and upset countless iPhone owners. In contrast, there's an extremely small percentage of people waiting anxiously for iCloud Messages.

Are
This might be the worst update i've experienced.

2 things you will immediately notice:

A) Your keyboard typing sounds will be MAX volume regardless of your volume settings. Either have to completely turn it off or live with a very loud keyboard type sound

B) When you lock your phone, the shutter sound will be at MAX volume.

Are we talking about beta 3 here, since that was the 'bad' one.
All my iOS beta problems seem to have been fixed, can't say much on battery life yet though, that sucked as well.

Has anyone who was experiencing the bad lag/slow app start up issues installed this yet? Any improvement? I had to roll back to Beta 2 on my iPad Air 2 as it was really bad.

Fixed on my 6S.

I *think* I am seeing less reloading of apps in this beta. (as in better memory management)
Anyone else?

It’s Millennium. Millennia is the plural. As in “If you as so displeased with Apple, it’s not necessary to spend the next couple millennia exaggerating about timeframes or asking sarcastic rhetorical questions on Internet forums. You can just move to another platform that won’t make you wait a thousand years for a service to sync your text messages.”

This build on an i7+ is super speedy and the annoying lag has gone.

It did clear my touchid and reset my Apple wallet etc

I’ve also noticed this in the WiFi settings?

That has been there since the beginning of iOS 11. Its super slick and works like a charm. I have used it at several friends houses when they couldn't quickly remember or locate the password

How do you go from 11.2.2 to 11.2.5? Did I miss versions 11.2.3 & 11.2.4?
11.2.5 is currently in beta, so if you are a developer or a public beta user you would be able to get it that way.

Ya, move to Android where you likely won’t ever get an update.

As far as I have read there is no indication that they will put this throttling "feature" behind the Low Power Mode switch. That appears to be all speculation at this point, no?

What lag do you speak of?

Huh? Never mentioned that

I am wondering if they release an update without downgrading performance or removing some functionality?

No need to wonder. Since Ive has been in total control, you can be assured he will do both everytime.

11.2.5... still waiting for my Custom Ringtones to start working again. But pretty sure they never will.

Here is something that is very much needed: A "Speak Notifications" setting! It can already do this if you have VoiceOver turned on, but it needs to be a general setting.

Here's an example: You don't have CarPlay. You have Apple Maps running, giving you turn by turn directions. Everything is swell. Then, a notification banner comes in. It appears for two seconds then goes away, but you couldn't read it, since your eyes are two feet away and the set is tiny. So next time, you do one of two things. 1) You lean in, squint, and try to read the text while the banner is up while you drive head on into a tree. Or, 2) You missed the banner, so you swipe down to see notifications, lean in, and squint while you drive head on into an abutment.

This happens to me all the time and the hospital bills are piling up! A setting to speak notifications would free up many doctors, first responders, and mechanics, thus doing good for the community. What say you Apple?

"and almost a month week after releasing iOS 11.2.1,"
With no new innovation. It states how beta the first release of iOS 11 really was.

If it takes an update to iOS to add Siri support for a couple of apparently hard-coded podcasts, then Apple has totally and completely lost the AI voice assistant race.
Look at CES and you know the state of Siri. It’s already dead or stuck in the famous pipeline.

Ive statement: less is more except pricing. Same for the new iMac they got rid of the start up chime. It was really functional when resetting the P-RAM.

Maybe my next phone will be. Better services, better tech and same price for a new phone each year than one new Apple phone in three years.

How about just asking SIRI to read back the last text message, etc.?

Siri doesn’t understand and will give you examples from searches of the internet to choose from. Siri is the retarded cousin of Alexa and Google assistant.

sadly i have to agree with this. since getting a google home ive realised how primitive siri is. even this update, google home already does it happily and switches to the bbc for its news. but if apple finally releases the 350 quid homepod, wow, i can listen to american news only...
