Public Beta 2 gave me 3 random shutdowns in a day when switching between iMsg and iPhoto.
The log files are huge ~

I can't wait for public beta 3 :p

Betas are always flaky to start with, though I must say I’m glad I’ve been really fortunate with the iOS 11 betas. Utterly crap battery life aside I’ve had no real issues I couldn’t live with easily.

Beta 4 though seems better on battery so far touch wood, where’s the wood damnit :p
I’m at over 11 hours standby and over 4 hours of actual use and my battery is at 77%..... There’s something wrong:D

Public beta 2 has been ok, minus this thing.. i mean there are the obvious bugs, but i see them being reported all over the place. This one is just annoying because it seems that it keeps happening between those 2 apps alone. Just happened again. Quite odd. Oh well, reported through feedback app and the patch for me is to go home first and then open up the other app. I love testing these things, even if it is buggy, i just try to understand it and learn from it and report the best i can

My what a sensible and level minded answer. I applaud your attitude, however I wonder, who are you and what have you done with the average Macrumors forum poster :p

I discovered that, too - but what to do if I want to multitask with an app on my iPad, but not in my dock? Isn't that easily possible anymore without having to open the second, not-docked app first? (which I preferably would like to have on the right, not on the left)

You can drag icons from elsewhere. For example, you can start a spotlight search (pull down from the top of the screen or press command-space) and then drag a result icon to the side. You may need to flick the spotlight pane back up with one finger while another finger drags the icon into place.

Good to know - thanks for the hint!

2 things i wanna know is thr airpods back to ios 10 loudnesa volume and has the app store updated so you see the new apps and games?

I do feel the AirPods are not as loud as before. Much more prevalent in PB3 to me, but overall volume seemed louder in iOS 10.

iOS 11 is compatible with iPhones going all the way back to the iPhone 5s. Apple works hard to ensure that iOS runs on as many legacy devices as possible. It's entirely reasonable to expect the newest version of iOS to run well on a three-year-old device.
Fair enough. Just don't complain when your iPhone 5S doesn't run as fast as my iPhone 8 with iOS 11 installed.
