Do people really report all errors or problems with these betas? Isn't that what all these betas are really for? I mean if people use these betas but don't report crashes or problems how does Apple issuing all these betas help?

Im on the public beta and report every issue that I ran into!

Same! My iPP 10.5 has been having a heck of a time! I can put up with the spring board reload but not being able to install new apps is frustrating!

You can install them on your phone, then download them as „previously purchased apps“.

Have these very annoying issues been fixed?

  1. Since 10.3.3 I can't access videos on YouTube via Safari. When selecting a video to play the following error message appears: "An error occurred while performing this operation." Note: blocking cookies in Safari is enabled, as it was before 10.3.3 was installed.
  2. Since 10.3.3 Apple Music doesn't play playlist songs in the correct order. It seems like after the first song is played shuffle is the default operation.
  3. Since 10.x certain cookies can not be deleted from Safari, even when manually trying to delete them. This is also known as persistent cookies.

I just reported the issues with an Apple senior rep and at Apple.com/feedback. Issues 1 and 3 have not been resolved. Issue 2 is user error/Apple music design fail.

If the "Suffle All" is inadvertently selected then anytime the playlist is played the songs will be shuffled:

The solution to turn off "Suffle All" is to select the first song in the playlist, and then select the playing bar at the bottom of the screen. This will open the song in full screen mode. Then scroll down and turn shuffle off:

For the life of me I can’t understand why people here are complaining about performance and battery life while running BETA software?????

Battery life has been fine even on beta 3.

Battery life on DB2 and DB3 have been terrible on my iPhone 7+. Typically I could make it almost two full days before needing a charge, but I’m seeing the 10% warning on most days with the beta.

So far my battery doesn’t seem to be dropping like a rock with DB4. Hopefully that’s a sign of improvement.

Because they conflate a beta software release with getting early access to software updates, not realising that you can't always have your cake and eat it too.

Is it just me or does ios 11 on ipad look really clunky? havent used it yet just making an observation

I might give it a try once PB3 drops

Mine showed the Apple Watch MAC address in Bluetooth and said it was an unknown device

Even restarts of both devices did not fix this
:-(

I just started experiencing this yesterday and have not been able to fix it. Works fine with the watch when on a shared WiFi, otherwise, no go. Very strange that it started many days after the update of the phone OS.

Is anyone running this on an iPhone 6S+? I am terrified Apple will "optimise" the experience for me
by slowing my amazing phone to a crawl to "encourage" me to update to a 7S+ or 8...

Please guys, I am panicking. Someone assure me it runs like a dream! I cannot afford any updated tech!
This is not true. They will eventually slow your device down, but not for the reasons for you to just buy a new phone. They add features that take more memory and processor to run and then Apple gets blaimed for the conspiracy.

Are you joking?
Been great for me. What device you have?

Keep spamming apple with bug reports until they bring back the 3D Touch app switcher. It may work, we got them to put star ratings back...

I am starting to believe that Apple removed the feature because it could cause hardware damage (repetitive pressure on a specific point on the screen could break the screen glass in the long term maybe?). It seems too strange to me that they removed such a useful feature without a good reason.

Is there a list of apps that do/don't work with the new version? For example WhatsApp

dw I found it. Will be interesting to see how my Australian banking apps go

Strange, my 12.9 iPad Pro picked up the beta 4 update no problem. However my iPhone 6s+ is saying it's up to date (it's not). Deleted and installed the beta profile but it still doesn't see the beta 4 update.

Anyone running the latest and using wireless CarPlay? Beta 2 was very sluggish and slow forcing me to downgrade to 10.3.3.

hopefully no bluetooth probs with d4 as i await pb4

I still have a problem with this beta where the BT icon is always solid instead of gray when there are no devices hooked up to it. I've already reported it to Apple once. Anyone else with this issue?

Have they fixed the keyboard when the orientation is in landscape mode? Since PB1, whenever I rotate, the keyboard stays the same which is annoying. Got used to it but I would rather the full keyboard in landscape and not a jipped version of the portrait one.

Apple today seeded the fourth beta of iOS 11 to developers for testing purposes, two weeks after releasing the third beta and more than a month after introducing the new update at the Worldwide Developers Conference.

Registered developers can download the new iOS 11 beta from Apple's Developer Center or over-the-air once the proper configuration profile has been installed.

According to Apple's release notes, today's beta fixes some errors with VSCO, Pinterest, Citi Mobile, and Apple's personal assistant Siri, but introduces new known issues. Tapping the AirPlay button in videos that aren't full screen can cause some apps to crash, and FaceTime Live Photos is disabled by default and must be re-enabled.

The call history list in the Recents tab does not update immediately in the beta, resulting in the second number in the list being dialed when the first is selected, and Cellular data for music downloads is included in WiFi Services instead of iTunes Accounts.

As for visual changes, Notes, Reminders, and Contacts all have revamped icons. There's also now an option to swipe to the left on a Notification to clear it, and there's a new Touch ID screen when tapping on a Notification to open it up.

iOS 11 introduces some significant design changes, including a customizable Control Center and a new Lock screen that's merged with the Notification Center. Peer-to-peer Apple Pay payments are being introduced in the Messages app, which is also gaining a new App Drawer, and there's a new Do Not Disturb feature that is designed to help drivers stay focused on the road. Siri, Photos, the Camera app, and more are also gaining new features and refinements.

ARKit for developers will result in a wide range of new augmented reality apps on iOS devices, while a Core ML SDK will allow apps to become a whole lot smarter. iOS 11 is also the biggest update ever for the iPad, with a new Dock that introduces much improved multitasking, a Files app for better managing files, improved Apple Pencil support, a revamped App Switcher, and a system-wide drag and drop feature.

iOS 11 is available for both registered developers and public beta testers and will see two more months of testing ahead of a prospective September release date alongside new iPhones.

For full details on all of the new features included in iOS 11, make sure to check out our extensive iOS 11 roundup.

Confirmed.
Safari not working on iPhone 7 plus IOS11 DevBeta 4

2 things i wanna know is thr airpods back to ios 10 loudnesa volume and has the app store updated so you see the new apps and games?

As far as AirPods are concerned, I just played Tattva (Kula Shaker) and whacked it up to full volume. Promptly followed by me turning it down quickly. So no volume issues here.

Public Beta 2 gave me 3 random shutdowns in a day when switching between iMsg and iPhoto.
The log files are huge ~

I can't wait for public beta 3 :p
