Yeah the Notes app is pretty broken on a 2020 iPad Pro with Magic Keyboard, loss of cursor support, inability to touch or select any text. Needs app restart to fix and happens immediately after you switch to another app and switch back. My only main issue thus far
From the beta 4 release notes:
The pen tools no longer activate unexpectedly while typing with a Bluetooth keyboard. selected

Spotlight search still doesn’t work - getting slightly concerned I’ll never be able to search apps on my device any more which is by far the most annoying thing especially on ipad

I have not seen this on iPad or iPhone in any of the betas.

Are incremental Beta updates only available as OTA updates on the device, or can they be downloaded and installed through iTunes? I'm asking because the update doesn't show for me on iTunes yet.

Incrementals have only ever been OTA, beta or otherwise. The full beta 4 ipsw is available on the developer site if you need to install manually through iTunes, but iTunes won't show betas just by checking for an update.

I often do non Beta incrementals through iTunes, so not sure the first part of your statement is correct, but I do appreciate the info that Betas won't show by checking for update.

I think this may be a confusion of terminology. You can definitely do non beta point updates through iTunes - it was the only way to update before the incremental were introduced - but it will always be a full ipsw download and not an incremental, so about a 2Gb download rather than a couple of hundred Mb depending on device and release.

Incremental updates are only available OTA.

I am still having this issue where I have to keep restarting iMessage, otherwise it is not possible to reply to threads! Totally irritating. Anyone else?

Looks like turning off “prefer cross fade animation” in accessibility settings sorts this issue where the keyboard just doesn’t show up when it should. FYI.

My iPhone has now become unresponsive to touch twice already even though the first thing I did after the update was a restart. A forced restart fixed it (first time temporarily) but hopefully it will go away. Beta 3 only did it once, if I remember correctly

Fair enough on the correction of terminology, thank you. I was using incremental update to mean point updates. So was wondering if each beta version could be done with a full ipsw download through iTunes. I guess technically it can be done manually, but it won't indicate as an update available automatically. Only the true incremental updates indicate automatically and are installed OTA. I stand corrected and understand. Thanks!

Alas, still no Home Screen widgets or App Library for the iPad. Such a bizarre omission, the large screen of the iPad is tailor made for Home Screen widgets, and the App Library is just a nice way to keep your Home Screen less cluttered. Hopefully in iPadOS 15 (or maybe even in a 14 point update).

And before anyone comments, I have requested these features since beta 1.
