Does the music app have the Apple Music stuff in it in this beta? If it does, i'm guessing it wouldn't be functional, but still...
If it does, it's disabled.
The question is what does complementary mean?

I assume that there is no need to have iTunes Match if you end up paying for Apple Music.
Remains to be seen.

iTunes Match, uploads music for you to access whether it matches or not.

AppleMusic sounds like it only gives access to things that match to the AppleMusic library.

Nope.

From Apple website :

How does Apple Music know what songs are in my personal library?

With an Apple Music membership, your entire library lives in iCloud. We compare every track in your collection to the Apple Music library to see if we have a copy. If we do, you can automatically listen to it straight from the cloud. If you have music that’s not in our catalog, we upload those songs from iTunes on your Mac or PC. It’s all in iCloud, so it won’t take up any space on your devices.

"you may also like" on purchased albums refers to the same bad albums on almost all my purchased albums.
You purchased an 'alternative' album so now you need to like "Florence & the machine" too....yuck.

I'm sure non of it right now is fully implemented they're just getting in the base/core of it in this build.

I don't like how it's on only purchased stuff (not even all my purchased albums show this for me) I hope once everything is live that it appears for all my music (purchased or not)

Does anyone facing a black screen when he unlock the device in iOS 8.4 beta 4?

All mentions of iTunes Match seem to be missing.

Instead I see iCloud Music Libary under the Music section in Settings.app.

I'm on the public beta and I still have the iTunes Match button. Image:

I really hope so, these kind of logaritmes most of the times make me cringe. I have high hopes for Apple's logaritmes.

it's not even on partially purchased albums or singles.
It should at least be on iTunes match albums

I still have the best experience with soundcloud for finding new music :)

From the looks of the changes even to just the colour schemes, can we assume that this beta has a more up to date version of the music app than iOS 9 beta?

As far as I can see, iOS 9 gives me the same Music app as the 8.4 developer beta 3.

Would love somebody else to comment on this. Same for me. I signed up for it quite a while ago but have only ever had the mac option...

That's cause Apple has to choose you. Signing up for the iOS beta doesn't guarantee you a spot. If they choose you then they send you an email with a link you go to. Then you download there 'profile' which gives you access to the Public beta.

Thanks for clearing that up. So nothing to do but wait? I'm one of the cool kids Apple I swear.

They chose an x amount of people from the OS X Yosemite beta to have access to iOS beta (started with 8.3 for public.)

Since they told people during the keynote for El Capitan and iOS 9 they could sign up, leads me to believe they will be giving out access to more people in July. (So who ever isn't in now won't be until at least then.)

If I've already received the 8.3/8.4 public betas, do you think I'll still get the iOS 9 public betas? I'd think so, seeing as they've already selected me for some betas...
