Lookup is still a blank space for me after this seed. :( It says searching for a sec, but then turns blank

Finder is fixed. It is quite a big file for that little change. Maybe some internal stuff.

Lookup partly works for me, it gives results from dictionary and thesaurus but not from Wikipedia.

Anyone else's update weighing in at 1.47 GB? I'm on the PB version of Beta 3, so its not like I'm multiple versions behind.

It also seems that Apple's server is either slammed or this copy of OS X is hosted on a server that is connected to one of the slowest ISPs ever; its saying 40 mins to download the file on my (just tested) 60Mbps network.

I'm on the Developer Beta 3 and my download is 1.47 GB as well. I am also seeing the same slow download speed as you and my just tested speed was 64Mbps.

1 hour and 40 minutes was the estimated download time

This bothered me for a while, then read about how people deleted the finder plist file and it worked.

I did it in terminal which finally worked over just dragging to the trash.

sudo rm - R /Users/**your_username***/Library/Preferences/com.apple.finder.plist

Then do a restart right after!

No need for a restart, logging out will do, or even relaunching the Finder,
command is "killall Finder" without the quotes and Finder with a Capital F.

I was on Photos uploading about 15,000 pictures. Updated to new DP 4 and now I'm back up to 19,000.

Hmmmmm

I don't think so. English is obviously supported and Germany was supported from day one as well.
It's possible, though.

It’s more the combination. Spotlight Suggestions also delivers localised content, perhaps they couldn’t support that in earlier versions.

Uhh, Photos still shows all my Faces but when I click on any face album it doesn't pull up an photos.

I swear if Apple ********* up my Faces albums I'm gonna be pissed. Yeah I know its a beta, but still. If this happened in a final build.

This update seems to have screwed things up for me as far as Look Up is concerned. If I use it at all my keyboard stops responding until I reboot. Plus the Look Up window is blank. It worked before and I use it all the time.

egads! It downloaded for me in about 7 minutes

Still over an hour left. This is crazy!!! I had just rebooted about an hour before starting the download. Just ran another speedtest and is returned 65 Mbps download speed. :(

Ditto I just noticed Faces is broken, 0 Photos for each and all. I did a Repair and its fixed (Opt-Cmd Photos)

Faces worked perfectly here - without a repair - and clicking on a face goes directly in to showing only those photos with that face present!

----------

What do you mean "a repair"?

It means that pressing Opt-Cmd and clicking on the Photos icon - you get the option to repair/reindex your photo library for any corruptions... Helpful sometimes...

click on cancel update -> Force quit App Store -> open it again -> press update.
It will presume where it was cancelled-
This helped me to reduce the time from 17h to 10mins.

Can anyone take a look into the Console whether you get these messages:

16.03.2015 21:06:15,471 Safari[1239]: notify name "com.apple.system.thermalpressurelevel" has been registered 720 times - this may be a leak

when running Safari? This is obviously on the latest (14D105g) build. Thanks.

I hope it'll fix Safari beachballin' when I load pages with Flash content...

Still having wifi issues.

To be clear, my issue involves wifi slowing down considerably when I have bluetooth enabled.

It's not solely Safari, plenty other processes have this on my System.
