Control+Command+D seems not working. I assigned it to a button on my Logitech M705 mouse, mostly for looking up dictionary.

in the past, I have installed all OSX betas, since snow leopard. Now I will installit two months after it's released, the soonest. Not even in a separate partition. I´m over that. And please, don't say how well it works over Yosemite, you guys always say the same thing no matter what. It doesn't work anymore though...

Has anyone had success connecting to an 802.1x network with DP4?

Did you read the prerelease notes? It seems that the only 802.1x networks affected are those which use weak encryption. OS X is now unable to connect to these networks because it upped its security. It is quite annoying though because I can't use my office Wifi anymore until the university security looks at it (which knowing them will take ages) :/

Yes, I'm aware of this issue, but my 802.1x network is using a 2048 bit certificate. There seems to be some crash in the connection process between the MS-CHAPv2 connection and the assignment of an IP address... I've seen other people with this issue as well.

I'm having more handoff style issues. Then again, to be honest, I have had issues with my iPhone and handoff since it was introduced. It used to relay text messages to iMsg app, but now it will not. I've never had it successfully connect if I pulled out my laptop and just tried to browse the internet. I always have to unlock my phone and open up personal hotspot (in settings) for it to even show. This still works fine.

... I pretty much gave up hope that they would release a web driver during the El Capitan beta period, so I stopped checking their site every few days. Thanks!

You're welcome. Actually these nVidia WebDrivers will work with all Betas of El Cap for now, because the NVDARequiredOS property check in NVDAStartupWeb.kext is "15A".

It was already clear from the first beta that this has been improved by a large factor on various Macs. The lag cannot be fixed because of how the scaling works and how much resources it eats up on the GPU. However, it can be continuously improved by reducing the amount of work it needs to do. Apple changed Mission Control to do less blurring and by doing less work, Mission Control is now almost always smooth, even on retina Macbook.

What? This is unacceptable. Because my lag issue don't come from an update (and even so), but on a brand new Macbook Pro Retina which came packed with Yosemite and many UI lags. There's absolutely no justification for that, probably going to ditch that for an older Macbook.

Same build just released for public beta testers, just less than 24 hours later than release for developers.

Great, send it back to Apple if you're not happy and let them know why. Majority of users are not bothered by the lag because they're using it in the Retina mode and it doesn't have that bad of lag. As soon as you switch to a different scaled resolution, the UI lag will be more visual and Apple warned it will happen in the settings.

El Cap does improve this a lot and trust me, you haven't seen how bad it was in Mountain Lion on the '12 rMBP when it came out. Mavericks was a godsend and El Cap is another OS that really improved this a lot.

Also, Windows 10 on Retina Macs are awesomely fast and snappy from my experience here. That's because the scaling isn't as intensive as it is in OS X but Windows requires all apps to be updated properly which is taking much longer compared to what we saw on OS X.

Does that mean 10.11 can be upgraded from 10.4? The 2007 Macs that still are supported came out with 10.4. IIRC, 10.8 removed the ability to migrate data/settings from 10.4, but I could be wrong in that respect.

For Yosemite Beta 10.10.5 you need at least 10.6.3. I just tested it a week ago on an MacBook Pro 2007 and it worked after the upgrade from 10.6 to 10.6.3. El Cap, I don't know. Normally the same, but someone here wrote you need 10.8.?, because of a bug.

But... People will say that. Because for some people, it's true. Everyone has a different workflow/way of using their device and some will have no issues at all while others will run into wall after wall. Same thing with iOS. Some may suffer huge issues with it, but that doesn't mean people who post they are having no trouble and enjoying it over the previous version are lying. It's not some conspiracy to trick people into installing things. Some people post that it works fine/is much improved because *gasp* for them, it is.

Has anybody figured out how to disable the "shake zoom" on the cursor pointer, yet?? So I barely shake my mouse and my pointer inflates to giant size...this is basically happening in normal use all the time when I don't want this to happen, basically when I am just shuffling my cursor around. I have a Logitech Laser Mouse and it's got very sensitive tracking, but I love this mouse and cannot stand the zoomed cursor feature -- I cannot figure a way to turn it off!! Can somebody PLEASE help a workaround or fix to get this featured turned "OFF" for good! Thanks!

Great step forward. Apps that were crashing or dysfunctional before are working again now, for example Acrobat, CrashPlan, Fluid.
