Upgrading to .0 release of a new OS is not something a professional that relies on a working system should be doing.

You're right, that's why I have all my work on multiple backups, and another machine (iMac) running Yosemite that I can rely on just in case. But you would think that a major update to a very popular OS, which has been apparently beta-tested for months, would have less significant bugs. Just my 2c

Did they add an option to Photos preferences to stop it opening up every blinkin' time a memory card is inserted? (I know there is already an option but it doesn't remember the card if you format it in camera - there needs to be an option to stop it automatically opening altogether).

I send bug report to Apple about this issue during beta testing and it hasn't been fixed to my knowledge.

Hi there,

I get always the newest beta version on my mac pro - at the moment I'm running on beta 10.11. and can't upgrade to 10.11.1

Someone has an idea how to solve this problem?

Thanking again

cheers

You need to go into the App Store and "Purchase" the released version of 10.11 and install that before any 10.11.1 updates will show. The release version of 10.11 will not appear as an update.

I'm surprised they haven't released this yet with the new imacs shipping now and all the issue that this last beta has solved. I'm guessing any day now though.

I'm excited to get this patch. Too man beachballs, especially on safari. And messages doesn't seem to respond when clicking between message threads, I keep having to quit and restart. Hopefully it gets fixed!
