Cool! Does anybody know if we're allowed to use this GM version to compile apps for release on the App Store(s)? Or are we supposed to still compile with 3.2 for app store releases since this is not a regular release yet?

Performance Measurement and Analysis
A kernel extension included with Xcode 4 Developer Preview 6 has a false version number. Future
updates to this extension are not possible unless removing the kernel extension prior to
installation.
Before installing Xcode 4.0 GM Seed, perform these actions:
In Terminal, execute these commands:
sudo rm -rf
/System/Library/Extensions/AppleProfileFamily.kext/Contents/PlugIns/AppleIntelPenrynProfile.kext
sudo touch /System/Library/Extensions
For those that don't bother to read the release notes
Now that I can see it myself here's the thing that clears it all up for me - "Xcode 4 GM seed". It's a seed release not a final release.
So yes it is still under NDA I agree!
In exactly the same way, on another page of the dev centre:Xcode GM seed is pre-release software and is considered Apple Confidential Information and is subject to the terms of your iOS Developer Program License Agreement.
OS SDK 4.3 beta, iOS 4.3 beta, and Apple TV Software beta are pre-release software and are considered Apple Confidential Information and are subject to the terms of your iOS Developer Program License Agreement.
When will XCode 4 appear for us developers who just have the freebie Apple Developer accounts?
When I go here:
http://developer.apple.com/devcenter/mac/index.action
all I see is XCode 3.2.5.... I'm eager to see XCode 4 in action!![]()
Most likely this summer, when Apple hosts its dev events. There are still enough issues with the GM that I don't think they will be releasing soon.
what is the build number of the GM ?
ok I haven't seen that one, sorry.Just look at the article screenshot. It's clearly displayed there.
