The reason more developers haven't made iPad apps is that it's a small market right now. Only a few million out there, compared to like 100 million iPhone-sized devices

Not a valid reason, you want your app to be the first on the iPad to grab as much as users as you can because those users can spread the word about your applications as the market expand. Brand awareness and free advertising is always good. Not to mention as the market expand, the odds of you being able to charge MORE for your iPad app will decrease as the competition will increase to grab those users as well.

Car Stereo Compatibility???

Does anyone know if this update or any upcoming ones will be fixing the car stereo compatibility problems? I've heard a lot of people saying that they don't work with 4.1 and maybe 4.0 and I'm planning on getting a new stereo in my car but I don't want to spend $400 if it isn't going to work with my Phone!

Beta 3 seems to have killed my ibooks app. When I open it, it asks if I want to sync but won't take my password. When I cancel and try to open a book, it says "Failed to load book because the requested resource is missing."

Uh oh!

I am having similar issues with ibooks.

Does the Netflix app work with Beta 3 on the iPad? I was reading that several people were having trouble with it in Beta 2.

Works more than it did in Beta2 - still crashes from time to time, but it actually works whereas before it simply crashed.

Changes!

There have been quite a few UI changes....
The include a new icon for mute. No longer has image of ringer like iphone.
New wallpapers. The classic bubble one has had its resolution upped (finally).
Multitasking bar now appears alot smoother.

Also, generally the ipad feels smoother, but it is still not perfection.

I don't know whether it's new or not for beta 3 but I just noticed I now have albums in the photo app, named after the subfolders those photos are in on the laptop. It appears they've stopped jumbling the photos together on Windows.

My thoughts on AirPlay:

1) A possible reason the AP icon seems to have disappeared from the video apps and youtube, could be that Apple is having AirPlay go out and "see" if the device (ATV) can play audio and/or video and is removing the AirPlay icon if there are no AirPlay video capable devices found. Since the ATV isn't AirPlay Video capable yet (until 4.2 for ATV), the icon is missing.

2) One improvement in AirPlay over the previous beta is the volume bar now works. Previously, you would get sound but adjusting the volume bar didn't do anything.

I wish Apple would just release its software sooner. The current stuff is as buggy as ever, so why not slap us with new features more quickly?

You try to develop a bug free Unified OS that works on 7 different iDevice.
