My iPhone 4 was slow as hell on iOS 4.2.1. I have noticed the whole OS is snappier with 4.3. Double clicking would take a second to open the multitask bar. Now it opens right away.

I agree, on my iPhone 4 the whole system appears to be faster, and issues I had with the home button not responding seem fixed

can't wait to see how will be a faster safari on my 3gs, with large sites (even the store.apple.com) is really slow..
apart from this, nothing else interesting for me.

Air Video have made some money and can now move onto their next project and perhaps come up with another corker.

True. They've probably had a good run... :p

Also, I realize now that Air Video's functionality goes a good deal beyond Home Sharing. So maybe one shouldn't feel too sorry for them.
I guess I had been thinking only of how I personally use the application, which is to stream content from my iTunes library over Wifi. I would have never bought the program if Home Sharing had been available at the time.

I know the GM is the final version of 4.3 but what happens come march 11th when my ipad wants to upgrade to the public release of 4.3?

Will I hit any problems later down the line if I upgrade to 4.3 GM tonight?

I just realized that the iPhone 4 "exclusive" SMS tones they introduced last time and where all way too long have been shortened!
Now if only we could be allowed to make our owns...

When I enable Home Sharing on my iPhone, most of the movies and TV shows I have stored in iTunes on my laptop are missing from the iPhone. Not sure why they're not working over Home Sharing. Is anyone else experiencing this problem?

I was having the same problem, managed to figure it out though - turns out iTunes is fussy about how your videos are tagged. Most of my TV shows weren't showing up until I filled in the artist field for each missing video with the name of the TV show, now they're all showing up.

I just updated to the 4.3 GM. I've lost the ability to set pictures from the Camera Roll as Wallpapers.

Can someone confirm this?

To clear any confusion ...

I can go to the Photos app and select a picture and set it as a wallpaper, no problem.

But if I go to Settings > Wallpapers, I only see Wallpapers there. Camera Roll is now missing.

Possible (Probable) bug?

I have two iTunes Home Sharing systems set up. ATV2 sees them both, no problem. iPhone 4 + iOS 4.3 only sees one -- sometimes the Mac one appears, sometimes the PC one appears, but never both at the same time. Given that they both show up under ATV2, this almost has to be a bug, doesn't it?

Camera roll is missing on my iPad as well.

Wait...my iPad doesn't have a camera.

Works as before upgrade on my iPhone 4...

Imported, saved photos go to the camera roll...

On my iOS 4.3GM iPad under Settings - Brightness & Wallpaper - Saved Photos
My photos are there but the thumbnails are all blank...
If I click a blank thumbnail, the picture does open though.

WTF.

Hmmmm, powering off and back on seems to have fixed it.
Strange thing is that when I powered it off, it automatically restarted itself.

Duh! If you are charging your iPad and you power it off, it powers itself back on.

It should have done that after the install. It usually loads the new software, comes on, and then reboots. I just finished mine and then my wife's. Both rebooted after install

Given that the public release is usually bit-for-bit identical to the GM, except for the file name, why would you want an "upgrade" that changes nothing/zero/nada?

I have an ipad wifi and iphone 3gs. will the new personal hotspot feature allow me to tether ipad to my iphone 3gs over bluetooth to allow me to use the 3gs 3G connection, or is this still a function not allowed by apple?

secondly, if in fact the bluetooth tethering IS allowed, what is more battery efficient for tethering, bluetooth or wifi?

The Personal Hotspot feature is only available on the iPhone 4. You can still use standard bluetooth tethering on the 3GS.

Yes i checked that yesterday and i can still use bluetooth. What i am wondering is though does 4.3 on ipad now allow bluetooth tethering? previously the only way to get tethering on ipad was to connect via wifi to jailbroken iphone.

With iphone 4's i can understand it wouldn't matter as the ipad would simply use the wifi connection provided by the iphone, but with the 3gs and ipad connection since it's over bluetooth, it would be software dependent on ipad side to allow making that connection.
