Apple today seeded the fourth beta version of iOS 5 to developers, continuing progress on the next-generation mobile operating system for the iPad, iPhone, and iPod touch set for public release in the fall alongside iCloud. The new version is listed as Build 9A5274d.

We've yet to hear word of specific changes in the release, although it does appear that Apple has also issued it as an over-the-air update for those running iOS 5 Beta 3. We'll provide updates as more information surfaces.

Developer land
"iOS 5 beta 4 can be installed using over the air software update from devices that have iOS 5 beta 3 installed. Over the air software update can be initiated by choosing General > Software Update in Settings."

Edit: it doesn't appear to be working just yet.

NEW: If you are doing a OTA software update from beta 3 to beta 4, you will need to re-sync your photos with iTunes.

Failing like everyone else, really want to see how well it works, must resist just downloading it normally.
