Help with Downgrade to IOS 5 Beta 3

Last night I attempted to downgrade to IOS Beta 3 with no success...

I completed the following

1. Followed these instructions to prep my iPhone:
http://www.wohotech.com/2011/07/14/how-to-downgrade-ios-5-beta-3-back-to-current-firmware-version/

2. Restored to IOS 5 Beta 3

3. Removed iTunes Beta 4 - could not simply drag to trash and removed via Terminal:
sudo rm -rf /Applications/iTunes.app

4. Installed iTunes Beta 3

After completing the above steps I was able to access my iPhone, but could not sync with iTunes.
Also my iTunes Library file from Beta 4 could not load into Beta (I did not try with a previous library file).

Is there anything else I'm missing?
Are there additional iTunes files I need to delete?

Delete the iTunes library.itl file in Users/your name/Music

Been there since 4.0.....

Hahaha how'd I miss that? I knew one swipe left took me to media player but an additional swipe to get volume control is new to me :)

I've run into all the problems you mention to get iTunes Beta 3 to sync with the downgraded iOS.

You have to remove the old backup or else it won't sync. Rename, move or delete ~/Library/Application Support/MobileSync and then sync again.

I removed the MobileSync folder and I'm still unable to Sync my iPhone.
I installed iTunes Beta 3 on a secondary Mac and I'm able to sync my iPhone here.
What other folders/files could be causing this?

I've been using iOS 5 beta 4 on my iPhone 4 for nearly a week. Battery life has been greatly improved. It's kinda like 4.3.3 now. ;)

So far i like iOS 5 Beta 4. Everything works fine. However i noticed a huge battery drain yesterday. I'm not sure why. I also had Itunes WiFi Sync enabled (windows). Maybe the iphone is continually searching for iTunes (?)

Anyone noticed this to ?

I came, I saw, I went. iOS5 beta was fun, but I just downgraded to 4.3.5. Much happier to have full functionality back.

Weirdly My iPhone had the battery drain hugely yesterday after many days of better than usual performance. Back to normal today. Odd coincidence that both of us had it on same day. Has yours been back to normal today?

LOL. Not at all an "odd" coincidence. Statistics will tell you that in any given day, the chance of two people seeing the same weird symptom at random is nearly 100%.

well we're both using beta 4, and it's quite an odd symptom to both have. but thanks for not contributing to the thread......

I closed all open programs and still had the huge drain.
Yes everything is back to normal again. Very weird...
