Whats interesting is the Version / Numbering Scheme:-

Beta 4 - Build: 6.1 (10B5126B) - iPhone 5
Beta 5 - Build: 6.1 (10B143) - iPhone 5

Beta 4 - Build: 6.1 (10b5126B) - iPod Touch 5th Generation
Beta 5 - Build: 6.1 (10b141) - iPod Touch 5th Generation

Maybe the dropping of the "B" means non-beta?

Hope it fixes the issue where you can't connect to any cellular data after you exit an LTE area. Getting sick of toggling airplane mode 5 times a day

I know it's a minor complaint, but hopefully they fix the layout of album artwork in the lock screen.

Edit: I whipped up an example and attached it.

GM's never go public.

Quite wrong. Almost every single GM build of iOS and OS X has been released to the public unchanged. Thats what GM is; the "golden master," or what every single retail disc would be pressed from in the old days of physical discs.

Oh please.

The GM is released on the Dev portal. I am more than aware what a GM is. I know it is the version, barring a major bug find, that the public get. The point is that the public get the public release, they never get the GM in name. While they are often one and the same, Devs get the file designated GM before it goes public.

Go "educate" someone else. My God.

I haven't tried 6.1 at all. But what's the problem? Mind sharing a screenshot?

It's not a HUGE deal, but when playing music the artwork isn't centered, and doesn't take up full screen on my iPhone 5

I don't have that issue on Verizon. Granted, I hardly ever leave an LTE area on Verizon but the handful of times I have, the phone falls back to 3G and data continues to flow without toggling airplane mode.

Same here, rarely leave LTE, but when I do, there are no problems switching to 3G

I can verify that this is actually a GM build. My 3GS's UDID was never registered on my dev account and I just restored this alleged beta to it. It activated with no problem.

I can't wait for 6.1 to be released and then 10 minutes later people take to the boards saying it's stale and boring and that they want iOS 7. It's almost like some people expect point updates to be major overhauls.

Most people want iOS 6.1 to be released because they want to jailbreak their phones/iPads!

Yes, that is apart of the equation, Apple's beta 4 was build 126th of iOS 6.1, the GM is build 143rd, the dropping of the letter signifies it isnt a beta otherwise we may have seen a "c" OR another "b"

And I can verify that someone else verified it half an hour ago ... as I told you ten minutes ago.

The bloke who posted one post above your own in the old thread posted proof that it installed on non UDID registered devices.

I'm sorry, I didn't realize it was such an issue to have multiple people verify something.

Gonna crawl back in my hole for now.
