^ It's comments like this that annoy me. This comment was clearly a joke but this is the sentiment of many users here on the forums.

I am a paid iOS developer and recent university graduate. I made an iOS application for my dissertation. I sure as hell didn't/don't have enough money to afford multiple iPhones.

I own an iPad and an iPhone and am deserving of my license.

I got a first in the dissertation by the way. ;)

They are a miserable bunch I just ignore them.

Wi-fi plus, huh? I think that should be incredibly useful. I'm tired of switching off wifi just to get on 3G when my wifi signal is too weak but my iphone is too stupid to drop it.

Phone seems to be running much snappier and smoother with this beta update. Beta 3 didn't run too well, and at the moment with beta 4 my phone runs silky smooth.

I like it!

Welcome the end of Apple's version of YouTube, and look forward to Google's own.

Unable to Update

For those having trouble updating to the new Beta. Specifically iPad WiFi users who can't disable WiFi as noted in earlier posts.

Go to your Settings > WiFi and click the arrow next to your wireless network. I changed my DNS address to Googles public DNS server (8.8.8.8). Next time I went to update it came up immediately.

Side note: I noticed my DNS previously, had my local routers IP (normal) but it had the address listed twice (not so normal). Not sure if this had anything to do with it.

Hope this works for anyone who needs it.

It's worth pointing out that the "Wifi + Cellular" feature that was just inserted is how Steve Jobs originally billed the iPhone as performing when he first debuted it. It was supposed to intelligently switch between wifi and cellular data, but the shipping product simply defaulted to wifi overriding cellular regardless of connection...and that's how it has remained for 6 years...until today

That fixed it for me, interesting, they must have changed their servers recently.... because it was failing to update over multiple WiFi networks for me...

Anyone else experiencing poor audio-quality from the jack-plug since the update? Sounds just like a paper-cup.

This, a million times this. The spot where I smoke at work causes WiFi to dip to 1 bar and nothing ever works. I'd keep WiFi off at work but honestly it's just annoying to turn it off and on every night when I get home.
