yea, but beta 2 will log you out and will ask you to log in with an apple ID.

I've seen reports that you will receive errors after updating to beta 2 if you truly are not a dev? Is this true at all? Can anyone confirm or debunk this?

Here's the link to these reports (see comments):

**EDIT**

It seems like a lot of people are getting locked out of their phones since they are not developers. Guess I'll hold off on this.

Icons on the control centre look a lot darker to me as well...

...also the parallax effect seems way more pronounced. I use the static yellow wallpaper that comes with my 5C and usually I don't notice the pattern moving around. I sure as hell do now.

Just installed the beta on my Air (have dev account) and my first impressions are positive:
  • Animations are extremely fast and smooth
  • Everything feels smoother
  • The new buttoned text doesn't look good, but I don't need it
  • The control center animation is cool, but nothing special.

My Bose bluetooth headphones also work without issues

"You wanna know why its not as PERFECTLY smooth as iOS 6? Because its a brand new piece of software. It still needs optimization. Just like every new piece of software."

Sure you're hope you're right about that one.

Have you been around since the "iPhone OS 2.0" days? Then you'd know exactly what I mean. I think some of you complaining about 7 stability don't remember the early days of OS 2.0 or even further back the launch of OSX 10.0. iOS 7 is so much more stable and polished than either of those. OSX took until 10.3 before even MATCHING performance of MacOS 9

Loving the speed of beta 2. Hopefully this will address the battery drain issues i was having on my 4S... but dark keyboard has GONE! Why oh why do you do this to us Apple?

My only wish for 7.1 is the addition of a dark mode. I love how iOS 7 looks and all, but it does get a bit bright at night when I'm using it as a secondary display in my car or when I'm getting ready to go to bed. It'd be nice if the UI went dark with the sunset just like maps does.

I hope that one day Apple will get around the freeloaders and lock their devices forever if they are not certified beta testers.

Well excuse me Mr. I Am A Developer - some of us would like our phones to be actually functioning properly without bugs and crashes left and right.

The only reason I want to upgrade is due to the fact that iOS 7.0.3 and 7.0.4 have been complete ***** for me in regards to usability.

Phone calls do not come in and the only way I know I had a phone call is because a few minutes later I get a VM indicating so.

On top of that iOS 7 is so buggy that I have to constantly press my home button before it actually even does anything. No my home button isn't defective nor is it broken, it worked fine all day every day while I was on iOS 6.

Can someone post a screenshot of the new control center, with and without music playing. Please

I've not heard a single person say this is an iOS 7 issue. Are you certain that it hasn't just started to fail and it's a coincidence. I'd take it to Apple if I were you.

That's no proof. It probably broke the day you installed iOS7!

This is what it looks like without music. You can tap the word "music" to open the music app. Sorry, have no music on the phone since I just did a clean install.

well I am trying to restore my phone but it seems stuck in a cycle.... not sure how to get out of it tbh.

Stupid doing this after an ota update...why not just do this when someone first tries to go on to a beta program and just say access denied don't allow people to download and install then lock down the phone.

Apple isn't concerned that a development device functions properly across the board. You are experiencing problems that others aren't so instead of upgrading to try fix a problem you should fix the problem.

A lot of people here has been talking how this beta has much faster and smoother animations. Does someone mind posting a video or doing some time comparison with previous iOS versions? :p
