spent a couple hours trying to get it to work:

1. on the air upgrade (starting from a beta 1 with ios 6 backup loaded) --> stuck

2.restored beta 2 from itunes (out of dfu) --> worked

3.loaded the ios backup --> stuck at the same point of 1)

so I went back to beta 1 + ios 6 backup.
tonight I'll try to back the beta 1 up, upgrade and load the beta 1 backup :apple:

I'll make sure findmy iphone is off before backing up (read that might be the issue )

Having the same issue with my iPhone 5, I will try turning off find my iphone before I backup and report back, thanks

Nop, I just won update until iOS8, when they get the icons right.

Just look a the icons, they are ugly. Sure, mix it with the wallpaper but still the icons are really bad. You just confirmed that some icons are ugly. Look at the icons of ios6, none is ugly, none.

Stop.

iOS 7 doesn't look bad at all. Everyone who isn't a nerd has absolutely loved iOS 7 when seeing it on my phone. I'll admit, when I first saw it, I loved it, but then it began to look worse and worse as I waited for the update to go live on launch day. Once it did, and once I changed the wallpaper away from one of the stock ones, it looked 100% better. The entire feel of the OS changes with your wallpaper. If you have a bright, girly wallpaper, your phone will feel girly. If you have a dark, serious wallpaper, your phone will have a more serious feel to it. It works so well that it makes the phone feel a ton more customizable, even when it isn't. Sure, some of the icons are a bit rough and need redone, but for the most part, I can't even use iOS 6 anymore due to the stale, outdated look it has.

Apple isn't being destroyed by anything, so stop being overly sensational. If you don't like iOS 7, then simply switch to Android or Windows Phone. Absolutely nobody is forcing you to use it if you don't like it.

So who would I have to beg to get a beta invite?

Recent revelations have forced me to reconsider the aforementioned sentence.

Camera conflicts

Has anyone else noticed that apps that use the camera throw the phone into an unstable state? My experience has been like this:

  1. Launch camera
  2. Take pictures
  3. Launch something like Facebook
  4. Switch back to home
  5. Launch Camera
  6. Black screen - camera crashes
  7. Launch Camera
  8. Black screen - camera crashes, ending with the camera logo stretched fullscreen
  9. Launcher crashes - reboot

On the upside, rebooting is pretty quick.

Not happening here. Only one or two third party apps crashing at start up (e.g. Everyday) but no native apps crash. I've found the general speed of most actions in ios 7B2 to be faster than ios6. Overall, I can recommend the new ios even at this early beta stage. Plus, it works lovely on the iPad mini.

The icons aren't ugly though, in my personal opinion. Sure, some of them need work, but for the most part, they're not bad at all. Looking at the old ones, they ALL look bad now. From the ugly fake light oval on the tops to the busy overtextured to the point where it looked pixelated music icon. They all just look so much cleaner on iOS 7. Safari, Camera, and Game Center are my only complaints at this point, and even then, safari is slowly starting to grow on me (which is surprising since I hated that one even after seeing iOS 7 in person)
