Thanks, this is the first time I have actually ever restored a backup... was 3000 miles from home when I installed and didnt want to/have the time to deal with re-installing/organizing everything at the time.

nope i restored mine on iOS6. restored to a fresh iOS7 again and my iPhone 5 still drains within hours and gets super hot. and yes i have literally everything i could think of turned off
 
Preparing Update...

Please let the Vista-like transparencies, ugly dock, childish folders and crappy icons be fixed.

It's a respring, not a restart. Issues like this are hopefully solved. For me, if i use siri on my lock screen and then click the home button it bypasses my passcode and goes to the springboard. something that clearly needs a resolution.
 
Is one of the fixes replacing the seemingly crayon-drawn placeholder icons we've seen to date? I mean, that is what they are, right?

I've switched back and forth iOS7b1 and 6.1.4 several times. (Just working on a 720p60 Camera programming article, where I need to run code on both versions.)

Have never encountered any problem after any re-flash in either 6.1.4 or 7b1. Of course, I've never restored any backup.
 
My OTA download has been at "less than 1 minute remaining" for almost 5 minutes now... I hope it finishes soon. But at least the phone hasn't frozen because the gear is still spinning.
 
Whats the issue around restoring a backup from pre-iOS7? I did this and things have been okish .. plenty of crashes and poor battery life but I figured that was normal.

No, because then they would be able to drink legally and make the icons even worse... :D

I kid.. I think iOS 7 looks really good, fresh new UI. :eek:
