Since I'm officially a developer, I knew about this update before MacRumors did but, I'm not going to talk about it because I'm silenced by the NDA.

Does anybody else have this problem?

attachment.php

The volume scrubber does not disappear for me when I tap on the screen. Perhaps its only a feature for the iPod touch? Is anyone with an iPhone 3G experiencing this?

Also, my iPod app is working just fine and dandy now after updating to beta 4.

I must say amid some complaints ( I never had mms or tethering running anyways) my beta 4 is running like butter, things just feel a lot smoother than beta 3, even though beta 3 was a large improvement. I haven't had the audio skipping problem( most notable problem) in my iPod which happened a lot in beta 2/3 especially when receiving a text. Generally speaking I'd say they are making big strides and the stability is comparable to and in some cases exceeds 2.2.1 on my phone. I'm looking forward to creating a tasty app with this. Cheers

Also I don't know if anyone has reported this but I'm using Bose quiet comfort 2 headphones and every time I sent or received a text on previous iterations of firmware between 1.1.4 to 3.0b3 I received gsm buzz. The buzz I receive is extremely limited now and nearly nonexistent when I send/receive texts. I'm not THAT technical so I don't know if they are able to turn down the radios or limit interference But it currently seems to be happening anyone else notice this??

holding down home button

Just a quick question regarding Beta4 and the home button.

In 2.2.1 and lower, you could hold down the home button to "restart" and application. I thought this was perhaps the MOST useful feature of the iPhone. Since 3.0, the home button reset has no longer been working. Can someone let me know if that "bug" has been fixed?

Thanks!

Tried it on a couple of apps but it didn't work. I also miss it!

Cool!
If you're so special that you can't talk about it, then you shouldn't be talking about not talking about it.

Nobody should be talking about it in public forums. Only developers are allowed to talk about it with other developers.

You're obviously breaking that "rule".

Why would you even post? We already know you're a developer. No one cares.

...it's kind of like gay marriage: If you don't like it, don't get one, and shut the F up!

Want a cookie?

Edit- I am a developer as well.

Talking about not talking about it doesn't do any harm. I wish I could post all of my cool new findings but, I don't feel like breaking the NDA. I also don't think it's illegal to read other people talking about it since most of the stuff I can experience first hand anyway.

The skeptic inside me tells me that this message more than likely references the digital copies of movies that are coming on disks these days rather than actual playback but one can still hope.

Those digital copies that come with Blu-Ray are separate discs on DVD. I wonder -- remote playback of Blu-Ray on ATV/iPhone? Built in ripping? I have a Blu-Ray drive and popped in a movie, but iTunes isn't giving away any secrets.

You don't understand. You're post was idiotic and self indulgent at best. Who cares if you knew about it before MacRumors posted it? Who cares if you've found anything you can't post about because of your NDA? You haven't cared about your NDA before BTW with all of your lame threads about the graphical errors and bad icons you've found.

You're just full of it, Spaz.

it happens on my 3g. this only happens for me when i have a fm transmitter plugged in, which i think is done by design since the volume does nothing when using the transmitter anyways. i actually like that its like this.
