Personal experience with 3.0 Beta 4

Works flawlessly. The polishing that it needs it is just speeding it up even more. I know it can be done and they should do it in the next release.

Hello, I had a quick question to ask you guys. I asked it a few days ago, but I didn't get an answer.

I currently running b3 and want to upgrade to b4. But right now, my AT&T service is temporaraly disconnected due to a past due balance.

Can I go ahead and update to b4 w/o any problems or should I wait for my service to come back on. I'm asking this because I guess Apple really goes the extra mile this beta to see if your a registered dev. and I dont know if they check this through your computer or from your phone. My UDID is registered so idk.

Please, any advice would be great!!

Thanks!

P.S.- Yes, I am currently running iTunes 8.2 pre-release.

Either way it dont matter because once Beta 3 is expired all it does is "brick" your phone till you update.
@skwoytek I get that:

has anyone confirmed that beta 3 will expire? what happens if you do not upgrade to beta 4? if it does expire does that mean we should expecct beta 5 in a couple of days?

Am I right in saying currently if yoy go from 2.2.1 with your apps, to the current 3.0 beta you won't be able to use any of your current apps as they're all designed for 2.x OS? Will Apple be changing this so you can run 2.0 apps on the 3.0 beta?
Wondering if at some point you'll be able to keep your apps and passwords and configurations of a 2.2.1 iPhone when you add a OS 3.0 beta to it to start testing on it. (presumably people doing full restore on it so starting from a bare no non-Apple apps restore)

Most of my apps work on 3.0. A few don't, but I'm not sure of the exact reasons...

Hey, can someone with iPhone OS 3.0 tell me if you can add, edit, or delete contact groups? Also, if you edit a contact that is already in a contact group, can you change or add the contact to other groups?

Basically, none of this is possible in iPhone OS 2. Contact groups must be 100% managed on a computer. It would be really handy to be able to change this stuff on the fly in rare situations.

Thanks
