Every update I hope in vain for an update to OpenGL or at least better graphics drivers. The 9400M under OS X is relatively crippled vs the OpenGL 3.2 and DX10 it can use under Windows.
I think we all do. In the 10.6.5 and 10.6.7 incremental updates, the graphics drivers themselves have displayed some decent increases in speed, but complete OpenGL 3.0 support is still nowhere to be found. The only thing missing from Apple's OGL stack is GLSL 1.3, but they don't seem keen on implementing anything more than GLSL 1.2 (hence the reason that OGL support is eternally frozen at "2.1 w/ some 3.0 features"). I wonder if something big in the OS absolutely depends on GLSL 1.2 and will not work with version 1.3 or if Apple just doesn't care to provide GLSL 1.3? Either way, Apple will probably be going with OpenGL ES 2.0 support only in future versions of Mac OS.

Yes, driver coming...

Any update to the NVidia Quadro 4000 for MP?

:)

Until the NVIDIA folks get new driver worked out
All Mac Pro owners with OS X 10.6.7 can not use their computers
with Adobe app using the GPU acceleration etc.
Including webbrowser Adobe Flash Plug-in with settings set to GPU acceleration, then all web browsers tilt! is Flash plug-in is enabled!

I have that problem my self.

But I can boot in to Mac OS X 10.6.7 with the Quadro 4000 graphics card though!

;o)
