Apple Seeds macOS Catalina Beta 9 to Developers [Update: Public Beta Available]

Hi all,

I finally took the leap and installed Catalina ... all seems to be working well except sidecar only seems to work once then requires a Mac reboot to work again. The second time I try to launch Sidecar it does connect but just shows a black screen on the iPad, a reboot fixes it.

Anyone else experiencing this ? Is there a quicker way to get it working again without a reboot ?

And I thought I was the only one with this issue. Drives me nuts with Mojave. Happens constantly using FCPX.

It's both disappointing and comforting to hear of other people experiencing it. It's definitely a software issue. It happens with my built-in trackpad on my 2019 MBP, my 2015 MBP and my Magic Trackpad 2. It happens whether I use Sketch, Figma or Adobe XD - basically any instance where I'm pinching and zooming 10x times per minute.

Right now I need to have trackpad settings open permanently so I can quickly fix it. I'm considering trying to build an Alfred workflow for it but honestly I just wish they'd fix it.

It happens to me on my Magic Trackpad 2 and my 2018 MacBook Pro. Happens when I’m using chrome, logic, or final cut. Super annoying.

As a sidenote, it also happens to me on a 2010 17 inch MacBook Pro I have Mojave on.

The last beta/GM was 19A582A; the release is 19A593. They aren't the same build number, and the installer application version number isn't a good reference. There were also betas released after the developer beta 9 referenced in this thread.
