I’m getting almost daily kernel panics (followed by reboots) on my M1 Max 14” MBP In Monterey; it’s been going on for 2-3 weeks.

I never had any panic issues on any of my prior MBP’s, dating back to 2014. I hope this is just a software issue that is fixed soon with 12.2. I’m not using any third-party docks, and it often happens with only Safari and 1 or 2 other apps open.

I expect better from MacOS. If I wanted spontaneous system-level crashes & reboots, I’d use a Windows machine.

The current 12.1 Apple Music app is not really an app, rather an interface to display apple music content from the web something akin to a "web app"; as a result it's pretty sluggish and unresponsive.
The new Apple Music app, while retaining the same interface for now, will be a purposely made application developed specifically for macOS, therefore we should expect much better performance.
12.2 didn't make any difference. I flattened the machine, unplugged the power to everything and powered up with a 4-finger salute. Installed 12.2 fresh. Oddly I did find that some of the USB ports were working again, but I still couldn't get everything to appear. Scrubbed the machine again and installed Big Sur, all my devices appear again at the same time as expected.
