It’s called human nature. Beta 8 is really good, even speedier (as per Geekbench).
Why not providing feedback about the new Beta instead of attacking a candid comment?
How was that an attack? If a later beta is more unstable then the previous version then Apple should quit if they are doing that bad of a job, it’s just a very good chance that the newer version is going to be more stable even if it’s 1% improvement from the previous one.

Its. beta -for myself I like to know if anyone else is having the issue Apple Pay no longer working since beta 8 - receive message unable to add another card you have reach the max 0 cards for Apple Pay

Looking forward to it, 11.4.1 has been hell, brought some very annoying stuttering when setting the phones on stand-by while playing music/on calls, no matter if it's on speakers, bluetooth car radio or headphones.

Yep. that is Apple's whole reason for doing betas, just keep the marketing cycle active, no real changes between them. But boy are the fans happy. Keep of the good work Apple! Oh, and save the bugs for the actual release. thank you so much.
You think betas are for MARKETING?? Have you ever worked in a marketing department? The last thing they want to publicize is half working software.

When do the public beta testers get their's? Is there a time they normally come out?

I have a paid for app that I JUST paid for before switching to the public beta, and it's not working. I knew what I was getting in to, but it's annoying that I can't use it.

I think it’s funny how so many beta testers on these pages talk about how stable it is. Are you guys using the same beta? Are you not having the settings screen freeze up on you, random app crashes, odd glitches and other issues? Because I sure am. And that’s expected, since it’s a beta.

But for all you testers, what are you even doing that you don’t notice these issues? If you’re not THOROUGHLY putting the software through its paces, you have no right to comment on its stability.

As a Public Beta tester, I feel like my obligation is not to test everything possible, but more so to use the phone as I usually would, and provide feedback on anything issues I face while using the phone normally. Just my opinion :)

This.

The 8th beta still had the random freeze issue for me. Initially it seemed more prevalent when I had recently been using Carplay, but not always. Not many apps crashed, but several apps would freeze for 10 seconds or so and finally launch. The icon would dim and it would just sit there

Fingers crossed for B9

traffic data might not be displayed properly in iOS 12 beta 9. Apple suggests affected customers Tap the 'i' button to reveal Maps Settings and toggle the Traffic switch on.
I have been having traffic issues since iOS 11. I would have the traffic turned on yet no traffic would show up. Would have to toggle it to fix. Hopefully they finally fix this issue (with next beta).

Every single release someone asks this. And every single time, the answer is the same.

Everyone has different ideas and definitions of what "stable enough" means. It's a beta. It will have issues. The final version will (likely) have fewer issues.

If stability is your primary concern, you shouldn't be installing betas. Period. End of story. The sole exception might be if you find your current experience to be so frustratingly unstable that you're willing to potentially trade one set of issues for another—and in the case of iOS 11, that's definitely possible.
This is a GREAT answer. Kudos.

Amen. It's amazing to me how many people don't understand what "beta" really means, so I guess it shouldn't be any more surprising that they're equally clueless about what "public beta" means. Sigh.

Bet you dollars to doughnuts it isn't.

If it's a beta, "it's not stable enough."

Maybe I haven't been paying close enough attention, but have their been any reviews of the new Maps from people who live in areas where it's been updated?

Ever feel like a broken record? One day people will get it.
not so harsh, I'm a developer as well, sometimes it IS a bug in the dev kit or some lib and Apple tends to be lazy in fixing these things. The Ovpn peops where asking users to report the problem to Apple. Now (wierd, info?) I understand that it will be fixed in a new app. Case closed.

I don’t use betas but hot damn, this one sounds like a huge clusterf*ck! It’s amazing how the developers can tie up (most of) the loose ends for the final release.

After around the sixth beta, when things are usually running pretty smooth, the public beta comes out later the same day (usually after 1:00 PM Pacific time).
