UK (London) based here, approx 12 hours after the RC's came out. Not showing for my M2 15" Air nor my M2 Pro Mini.

Tried rebooting, flicking between the release channels, still nothing.

On an unrelated note, I updated my phone and watch from the betas to the RC last night. Doing 2 iPads this morning and they're saying it's going to take 2-3 hrs each! I'm downloading the restore images instead which are going about the speed of my internet connection. Seems a bit odd.

It seems obvious but has anyone reached out to Apple?..? a lot of assumptions are being made.. M2 devices not receiving RC version of macOS Sonoma

My 2018 mba got stuck on preparing and gave the error failed to prepare or something link that. It gave the option to retry which I did - and that worked.

7AM EDT - still no RC for MBA M2. Something isn't right but maybe apple will figure it out.
It has become clear that the issue is with M2. Haven't seen one person with an M2 say they got it.

I wouldn't be surprised if we get it or at least news later today.

Out of curiosity because I haven't seen this sort of delay before - doesn't Feedback Assistant normally show the new releases even if you haven't updated? Because, if so, they are not showing on FA on the same computer that doesn't show the RC available.

Also, MBP M2 Max doesn't see the RC release either.

I’m surprised this isn’t news to be honest. But yet a silly action button that replaces a button ive used since iPhone 1 is news….. ( sorry still sore haha ). i wonder if it could be related to a firmware update still being worked on For the RC..

Here's what worked for me. Instead of selecting Sonoma Beta, Select Ventura beta and it showed. Worked on all my m2 devices. Just figured this out... Good luck!

Sorry, that doesn't sound correct; there are no active ventura betas to choose from unless you are running an old MacOS version. This thread, as I understood it, refers to individuals who are developers who have a beta installed; there is no public RC release and the OTA RC version isn't appearing for M2-based devices.

That makes since, if you are already on Sonoma beta it won't give you that option. I hadn't installed the previous betas, but for whatever reason if I selected Sonoma beta it offered Beta 8, but under Ventura, it gave the full RC. Hopefully apple figures it out soon.

Called developer support (always a mistake) and they wanted to go through the litany of questions as to why was it my computer's fault that it wasn't showing up. Ah well... I guess there is some solace in knowing I'm not alone with this issue...
Got to love tech support, ‘’ have you tried turning it off and on again ‘’

You have to love Apple; it turns out one of their announcements yesterday with Apple Watch 9 and Ultra 2, the double finger pinch to activate calls, etc. It is available to all. How it was presented leads you to believe the new function is because of the improved processor... That is not the case... It's a function that is available to all... I have a seven-series watch, which is capable of the function activated within 'Accessibility.' Try it... single, double pinch or a clench... clever stuff, but it doesn't need the new S9 SiP processor!

I'm looking for this, can you elaborate on where this is located in the accessibility settings.

Off topic but best to do on watch app on iPhone. Accessibility|Motor|quick actions and Accessibility|Motor|Assistive Touch
Yep, off topic... a slight distraction from the minor frustration of RC not being available..

just turned in

Kinda says a lot about apple and how the misdirection of things and features limited to only new hardware when the old can do it easily. Same with the iPhones being able to allow the user to set the max charge on the battery like a Tesla car to extend battery life and not stress it.

I have to honestly say that Steve Jobs is sorely missed not because he didn't do some of the same things, but as a product guy he really made strides to be an innovator. The last several years have just felt like Apple reverting to what they did a decade ago with current day technology and little vision (no pun intended). Stability in OS is appreciated, and wonder why the RC for M2 machines evades. It's been 2 weeks since the last update.

I got the update immediately available to me for 13" M2 MBA yesterday. As of 12pm CST today, still not available on my 15" M2 MBA.
