Things seem much better on this revision. Scrolling and my battery are way better and my phone is no where near as hot. Pleasantly surprised in the difference. iPhone 15 pro.

Apple today provided developers with a revised version of the first iOS 26 beta for testing purposes. The update is only available for the iPhone 15 and iPhone 16 models, so if you're running iOS 26 on an iPhone 14 or earlier, you won't see the revised beta.

Registered developers can download the new beta software through the Settings app on each device.

The revised beta addresses an issue that could cause some iPhone 15 and iPhone 16 models to show a low battery symbol and be unable to start up after updating to the initial iOS 26 beta.

iOS 26 includes all of the new features that were shown off at Apple's keynote event on Monday. Apple debuted its Liquid Glass design, which you'll find throughout iOS 26 and Apple's other software updates.

Along with a refreshed design, there are a long list of new features in iOS 26, including changes to Messages, Phone, Safari, Music, Photos, Camera, and more.

While today's beta is limited to developers to give them time to learn the new features and adjust their apps, Apple will provide public beta testers with a chance to try the software in July. iOS 26, iPadOS 26, macOS 26, tvOS 26, watchOS 26, and visionOS 26 are set to launch to the public in September.

  1. Plug into computer
  2. Press Volume Up, then Volume Down
  3. Hold Side button till screen is black
  4. Once black, hold Volume Down too (keep both for 5 sec)
  5. Let go of Side, keep holding Volume Down 10 more sec
If done right, screen stays black and Finder/iTunes will detect it in DFU then restore it (you will lose your data if you didn’t make a backup)

So if you're on a 15 or 16 Pro we'll fix how we fncked your battery. But if you're on a 14 Pro, go pound sand. WTF!?

Yeah you’re lost. Apple wants you to upgrade your phone. That’s a clear sign with this early beta. Might only get worst now.

Anyone else seeing what they did to the stock iphone 16 wallpapers in ios 26 beta1? (Ultramarine, teal, pink, white, black)

First off, they removed them from collections, but if you have them in your wallpaper carousel already, you’ll notice they are ugly looking now. They’re Over-brightened, contrast is too low, it has a bright white spot & a dark black shadow where they didn’t used to be any, and the tap animation is deactivated on the lockscreen. I hope they revert them back to the original wallpaper design. I could live without the lockscreen tap animation, but it’d be nice if it came back.

Anyway, the battery drain was insane, so I went back to 18.5 after a few days of using 26 beta1

Stupid Comcast still doesn’t support single sign-in on ATV. If not for their internet, I would trash them. I use what’s convenient, but I like options. I refuse to use apps that sign me out routinely and force me to sign on with Comcast.

Since the update, Beats headphones connect via Bluetooth but the audio output is reverted back to the iPhone speaker.

There is a new setting for this. Take a look on the Control Center while playing music and having the headphones connected. Probably it will help.

Noticed something new today: when tapping and holding on IMEI there’s a new option, “Barcode” option in addition to Copy.

Kudos for updating such an early beta and then leaving the house 😆 risky business

Seriously, I'm really putting this to the test. Today was pretty rough with the heat outside, plus the beta taking more battery. I'm just gonna start carrying my rechargeable battery for a few weeks 😂

Honestly currently I having my phone on battery saver mode the whole day to get over the day.
Arrgh ok but no complains, it is what it is with such an early beta. Also a good time to decrease the phone usage a bit.

did that...will try again....thanks
I had the same issue with my phone and watch.

Reboot fixed it for the phone but I had to wait until the next day for the watch even after the reboot.

I think it might have been the servers were overloaded.
