Well this is odd. Quicktime 10 will not stream videos from Apple site. Was working fine a few days ago.

Nothing a browser reset couldn't fix. All better now. :)

as 10A432 contains Itunes 8.2.1 and we think that Itunes 9 will be released on Sept 9 2009, surly if this build is the GM build then it would have to ship before 9 Sept ,because if it ships after Sept 9 then it would contain an old build of Itunes

so maybe there is another build that contains Itunes 9 to be released after Sept 9

Or... iTunes 9 doesn't exist yet or if it does could be released at any time in the foreseeable future.

There is no requirement for iTunes to be at anything other than what it is at to work just fine in Snow Leopard. iTunes is a separate product from OSX that has it's own release cycle in relationship to the main OSX.

Remember, we have no confirmation of a music even happening at all and everything we know of a future iTunes release has been unverified. In short, there is no reason why Snow Leopard will not ship with the same version of iTunes being that it is still a 32-bit app.

Evidence of build 10A435 ?

I received an email (well my blog did) today with this link and a message saying

"Also Apple will be pushing back the release date from August 28th to september"

After extracting the zip low and behold some screenshots from build 10A435 they look official but as always take it with a grain of salt

The screenshots look legit. It makes me believe those rumors about build 10A435 weren't nonsense after all.

What makes me skeptical that there is a 10A435 release is that it's not evidently not available via the ADC. Now Apple could very well have an internal 10A435 build floating around, possibly intended as a 10.6.1 release soon after 10.6 releases to handle some of the issues people are reporting with 10A432. And that the people who are claiming to have it aren't saying where they received it from may mean that if they indeed do have 10A435, it may very well be not a version intended for release outside of Apple so folks wouldn't want to make it easy for Apple to find them.

And a number of people complaining about 10A432 not being "ready for prime time" are not providing information that could help isolate whether it really is 10A432 that is the core of these problems or non-OS components that are experiencing the issues.

And as to things like Quicktime not saving preferences, those can probably be taken care of with a patch released day-and-date with the release of 10.6 or even a new version of QT being released day-and-date with 10.6.

It says Start Up Disk ....... Snow Leopard Beta OS

mine could say start up disk ......... elephant OS

its the disk name not the OS name

Oops. Sorry. I wasn't looking carefully enough. My bad.

Edit: They're running Snow Leopard booted from a USB drive??? HAHAHA! Snow Leopard must really fly on that machine. Wow.

AFAIK ADC members get the final code on the day its released to the public

And that is fine, but is there is an official 10A435 build that will be the one Apple officially ships as 10.6, one would think the ADC members would have it to verify any final set of bug fixes and updates added.

Unless Apple had planned to release 10A432 as the official 10.6 in late August, but now feels that 10A432 is truly "not ready for prime time" and is now moving to a new build for that with a "new" release date in September.

But if they had been planning to launch the product next Friday, that means the product has been produced and boxes and "Up to Date" DVDs have been burned. So now they have to scrap all that and start-over.

I really can't wait til the official release!!
there's like some bugs that i've noticed with some apps "graphical bugs" that i haven't experienced in leopard.

in iMovie 09 when i stopped recording through isight, when it has that animation going back to it's icon (IN iMOVIE 09) it has like those vertical screwd up lines...

and in iTunes. when I have it at FULL SCREEN with the visual effects, at the very bottom of the screens, there's like some white lines that keeps popping up every 2 secs or so, it's sort of filckering.

I ran across this when installing Windows 7 RC 64-bit onto my SR MBP. EFI32 doesn't play nice with the default Win7 64 install DVD. My theory is that they could make this work, but it would lead to greater headaches for them in regards to customer technical support.

Acutally, the Win 7 problem with EFI32 is a problem on microsofts end. You can easily correct this by extracting and repacking the iso with the non broken loader. Instructions can be found here http://sergiomcfly.blogspot.com/2008/04/select-cd-rom-boot-type-when-installing.html

I've been doing it with my macpro1,1 since the first win7 beta. Right now I have win7 ultimate release running just fine. On the issue of getting 64bit OS-X to boot on EFI32...it is trivial, it's just that Apple is always engaging in planned obsolescence and this is just an example of that. There is no technical reason.

The Preferences in Quicktime look horribly fake. The line break below is too thick.

Or is it that apples marketing department is doing a prime example of cheap viral marketing here with the packaging "leaks" and theese website "glitches"...
