Agreed. We should move the artists that make the emoji over to fixing bugs. That’s how it works, right?
Based on the current release notes I got, likely not in this build.

Are you kidding me? Are there literally only the artists working on the software development of emojis and nothing else?
Don’t think so. It’s a feature according to them so that your watch remains tethered, AirPlay etc.
Agreed! I rarely use them. All I care about are real features, and improvements.

So I take it that the following features are slated for 11.2?
- 3D Touch Multitasking
- Apple Pay Cash
- Messages on the iCloud
I bet the vast majority of the work is artists. Even a programmer who assists with this is likely only hired for this type of thing. You don't think Apple has a team just devoted to this?
With the 11.1 Beta 1 I was having intermittent issue with Spotify Connect streaming to my Chromecast on my iPhone 6+. Anybody else see this issue?
I don’t mind always on Bluetooth as I have the Apple Watch, but won’t an always on WiFi drain the battery of an already old 6? For now I always have to remember to turn off from settings, as WiFi is hardly necessary while traveling from home to office.
Unless WiFi doesn’t take any toll on battery!

People like us need to realize that for the new Apple consumer base emojis are a big part of their culture, like camera filters and masks, as long as those features don't have major bugs everything else is minor. What are you going to do? use Android? no.. if you hang around this forum then probably android is not an option because somehow iOS is cleaner than android. However as soon as Google releases a cleaner OS, even with decent animations, then goodbye iOS.
WiFi only takes a battery toll when searching for signal or being in use. Doesn’t make it any less crap that they changed the behavior.
iOS 11 is an absolute mess, but thank 8 pound, 6 ounce Newborn Baby Jesus that we have a female vampire emoji. I dont know what I would have done without it.
3D touch app switcher has been added back but seems a little buggy on my 7 plus. Nice to see it back though!
Never understood this type of response. Do you think the people who make emoji are capable of fixing crashes and graphical glitches?
Do they expect people to be communicatiing with just emojis in the future ?
I was hoping to see Apple Pay Cash in this update, but perhaps it’ll make its way into a later 11.1 Beta.
