Apple Seeds Second Beta of iOS 12 to Developers

Day’s almost over here in the East coast and there is no sign of the OTA in here :(

My 7 year old will be delighted with some of these updates, especially Emoji related. I only run my own business so clearly of no relevance to Apple these days. I can't help but feel Steve Jobs would be turning in his grave at the dumbing down of so many Apple products.

What are you talking about? They did a lot more than just emoji.

I'd emailed them (I'm a beta tester for the app) and their response was:

We do not support Beta OS, as they are a bit buggy. With this first Beta 1 version of iOS12 - they have broken pretty much all apps that run Webview (like us) as their primary way of communicating.

We are hopefully that Beta 2 fixes the issue! Thanks for your patience!

It appears there are other apps that use Webview which are working, so I'm not sure that's really the issue.

maybe i'm getting old and grumpy but does anyone actually use the animoji's given the amount of time apple spends on them?

Apple knows exactly how popular they are.

But I think you overestimate the number of developers it would take to implement Memoji. I’d be surprised if it took more than 2 or 3 coders even 6 months. It may be the work of a single developer. Obviously a graphic artist was involved, but the yearly Unicode emoji updates only take a few months :)
 
Here are my problems with IOS 12 Beta 2:
- Iphone keeps asking to confirm my phone number on AT&T.
- Random restarts of the phone.
- Some websites load slow or not completely (partially fixed with DISABLING cookies from safari settings).
- Apps sometimes crash.
- CarPlay connecting and disconnecting. VW car with builtin CarPlay. (Known issue)
- Homescreen is sometimes blank after unlocking phone or half of the icons are missing. See them back after switching pages.

TestFlight won’t let me sign in. Have to type in my password again and again.

Anyone else experiencing the same?
