Somewhat in line with this, can there now be multiple watches added for unlock? Or at least unlock using one watch when multiple users are logged in?

Still waiting for this to be sorted. I’ve spoken to support a couple of times and they’re still working on a fix apparently.

Looks like I'm waiting until dev beta 3 or 4 to install this on my main Mac. It's fun to take risks - just back up your files.

Indeed, which is why I prefaced my list of possible explanations with “if that’s truly what they’re trying to communicate”... a misapplication of an idea mentioned in class is quite possible, I agree.

You are a much better diplomat than I. :)

eoblaed for President?

I'm waiting for the day when you can copy your location in the finder and then paste it in another finder window, or document etc.
This is simple as pie in Windows but Apple doesn't offer it.
During recording this make work flow a LOT easier and much faster.
No can do in Mac.

I am waiting for Windows to stop using registry keys, which slows down laptop to crawl after an year, I am tired of re installing OS every year.

Not at all accurate.

May not be accurate, but new OS will have bugs, this is why it is called Beta release, they didn't;t even release this Beta to public yet, people are already complaining.

An information folks, please. When a new beta, like this one, is released the App Store is updated with it or the version there is still the first one?

I have a Windows desktop, HP Z800 Workstation, that I've used every day for hours since two weeks after windows 7 came out.
I think that makes the computer about 9 years old.
Have never had to reinstall anything of any kind, let alone the entire OS.
All I do with this computer is reboot it once a month and that's it. Other than that I use stand by mode at the end of the day. This thing is literally on for 12 to 14 hours a day since I use it both for business and personal.
Couldn't ask for a more reliable computer.

Those are words coming from former Google and Microsoft Devs now professors. Unless they’re lying to us completely or have weird coding practices, that what I’m preparing for in the job market.
I always start over mostly fresh in every major update to my projects.

Chances are by “rebuilt” they mean recompiled...

Yep, every year for me as well.

But to eliminate the registry, they'd have to only allow UWP apps, and that would suck.

If they didn't force UWP, they'd have to block devs from writing new apps that had any sort of dependency on the registry, which would more or less mean they should just write a UWP app anyhow.

Hopefully, someone out there can get this to run on unsupported macs, such as the 2012 MacBook Pro non-retina, though i THINK I may jump ship from Apple.. I don't like their direction and without Jobs, the company is not going to have a future as someone in there will mess up.

The 2012 MacBook Pro non-retina is supported. 2011 and older models are not.

1. Right-click file or folder in Finder

2. Hold down OPTION

3. Copy pathname

You learn something new everyday, this is super helpful. I was getting tired of ⌘ + I, and then copying from the info pane (which is terribly formatted when copying).

Anybody else experiencing constant log outs from Facebook with Safari in Mojave Beta 2? Any official FB site (FB.com, Messenger.com) and any site that uses FB to login seems to be constantly logging me out after 15 minutes or so. Not sure if this is something new in Safari that's causing the issue, or if it was coincidentally timed with the release of Beta 2 and is Facebook's fault.

Actually it is not just facebook.

It is happening to me too with macrumors forums and other forum websites too.

And only on mojave, not ios devices.

Also not on high sierra either.

So I reckon it is a mojave thing and not the fault of the websites.

Must be related with the fingerprint invalidation implemented in the new Safari. Thing is that it is very difficult to disarticulate such a mixed bag of tracking devices while still retaining website/webapp functionality.

And not only in Safari. The automatic logins (not only Facebook, but any site where you used to login automatically on previous OS) are gone too on Chrome. I imagine that it is a bug.

I dig it. Everything about it so far is great. Except that doesn't recognize any clicks from the Wacom Intuos 3 & 4's mouse (yes the 3 is older, but it's the smoothest intuos they ever made). Fresh install or update, the cursor tracks, but the buttons are dead in Mojave. BetterTouchTool doesn't detect them, joystick mapper doesn't see any input device, I don't see security blocking anything, nothing. And knowing Wacom, we can probably expect to see updated drivers from them sometime between dreamtime and never. I guess it's back to Sierra. I'll try Mojave again when it's mature and see if this has been fixed from Apples end.

I know this.. but also 2012 doesn't even have Metal support either. So, I don't understand why 2011 won't work, hopefully someone out there can get 2011's to work.. as i have a 2011.. I just don't see too much differences except for USB 3 on the 2012 non-retina. Its not worth it to me to spend 500 to go to it after i got the 2011 high end for like 400.00.

2012 MacBook Pros support Metal.

Method 2 (a bit harder)

One may get the Mojave beta 2 full installer here:

https://itunes.apple.com/au/app/macos-10-14-beta/id1354523149?mt=12

And this link will open the page in the mac app store.

This does indeed download a “full installer” beta 2. BUT - it’s only 12MB! That clearly has a lot of stuff missing. So I don’t believe it is really the whole thing.

When upgrading from High Sierra to Mojave, got a small installer like you described. This installer is downloading the rest after that...

Weird situation hope someone can help.

I updated a VMware virtual machine running 10.13.5 to Mohave Dev beta 1 with no problems. When the Beta 2 update came along I told it to install. It started the process, but during a restart it said the install drive didn't have enough room and needed approx 1GB more space and reverted the VM's OS to Dev beta 1. I shut down the VM and increased the size of the virtual drive. Now however, the machine is stuck at Dev beta 1 and when I do "About this Mac/Software Updates" is says my machine is up to date. How can I clear the failed attempt at updating to Dev beta 2 so the update process will see it as necessary again?
