BY FAR the WORST BUILD EVER
The first public beta build was workable, 10.13 Beta (17A306f) is plagued with bugs. If you are thinking about public beta testing - skip this version. I can't keep up with all the bug reporting.
Some issues I'm having is Fan running all the time (iMac 27-inch, Late 2012) 3.4 GHz Intel Core i7 32 GB 1600 MHz DDR3 NVIDIA GeForce GTX 680MX 2 GB)
Bubbles appear while completing forms on safari
Flickering Safar preferences
copy and paste not always working ctrl C
computer becomes unresponsive for seconds
Try it if you'd like, but I would recommend skipping this version.

Anyone else having issues after importing Live Photos directly from the iPhone into Photos they don't work? I right click and "Turn on Live Photos" is greyed out?
Yes, and airdrop isn't working properly.
So many more bugs. I've already sent in 4 and haven't sent in photos not importing from iPhone.

I know it's early - I attempted to upgrade to PB2 from PB1 and received a "some updates couldn't install" message after reboot. What version is this update? m?

Thank you!
M is last weeks. F is today's. Don't do it, it is a big fail and you'll never get any work done.

Time Machine appears to be working, or at least it's started backing up again (really slowly to my FreeNAS machine). Little Snitch needed a new nightly version (already available) and it seems to be alot slower than PB1, but that's probably spotlight doing its crazy ****.

Ok, it's not just me. I sent in a bug report as well.

PB1 was a nightmare for my 2011 MBP, after reading this I hope it doesn't get worse. It's sitting right at the end of the install now so I'm still waiting but I'm hoping and praying it gets better

So far (crosses fingers) the only issue I have is with Photos. I haven't been messing around with High Sierra as much as I want, but so far it's doing ok. BTW I have a 2015 rMBP, not sure if that matters

Unrelated, but serious question: does anybody else feel like High Sierra is named only to make people think of saying "Hi Siri"? It's like some telemarketing trick to trigger Siri in our subconscious, since it's been made mostly irrelevant by superior AI alternatives. Hmm.

Anyone else getting the notification along the lines of "important information needs to be downloaded, but can't be at this time. try again later."??

The installer stalled at the end for a long time and then eventually the MBP went to sleep and I couldn't get it out of sleep without having to hold down the power button. Once it rebooted it took a little to log in and I've been running smoothly so far. It's SO much better than PB1 for me.

not having any of those problems; PB2 is running much better here than PB1 in most respects. try re-installing the beta...

Yeah eGPU updated drivers and first step for clamshell mode!!!

My icloud contacts are still not syncing between my Macbook and iPhone. I tried turning icloud on and off on both devices and still not syncing.

Shortly after the release of the developer beta 3, developers got something else too which I don't think public beta testers have yet: a iTunes 12.7 beta.

Probably just as well too that apple seem to be holding off offering this to public beta testers yet because several developers are reporting that this itunes beta prevents their ios devices from showing up when they plug them in. So it's probably too buggy yet for public beta testers.

If and when public beta testers get this itunes beta I'd be interested if any of them have similar problems with ios devices not showing up.

Not upgrading from PB1 and the installer is simply just rebooting my Mac without going through the installation process. Anyone else getting this issue?

I had the same issue. Rebooted and shutdown. Unplugged all accessories and tried it again from App Store. Worked afterwards.

Also turned off 3rd party firewall (little snitch).

I have 12.6.1.27.

Yes. That's the build number for itunes 12.6.1 right up until high sierra developer beta 2 update 1 as well as public beta 2 so far.

But if you got developer beta 3 you were also offered a itunes 12.7 beta and the build for that so far is 12.7.0.48.

It is actually however possible to install high sierra developer beta 3 without itunes 12.7. See this thread for this: https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/itunes-12-7-beta.2056333/

I think if public beta testers are offered the itunes 12.7 beta at some later stage it will likely have a build number a bit higher than 12.7.0.48 because they should try to fix the ios device bug first before releasing it to public beta testers.

On my 2017 MBP 2.9 it’s having a lot of issues with an external hard drive and the boot time is about 4-5 times longer than the 10 seconds from the last beta. Overall it’s way less functional.
