So ummm is there a way to install the beta without a dev account?

Others here might know more about that, I think there are sellers who allow you to register your phones UDID in their developer account and load the profile and then install iOS 13 Beta 2.

Edit: beyond knowing this I have no idea who you could reach out to.

Not really - been two weeks. Beta 3 is usually the first public beta, so the time lines up

iOS 12: 1st paragraph - PB1=DB2

iOS 11: 1st paragraph - PB1=DB2

iOS 10: The comments mention PB1=DB2

This is just a fun chart...

Just a tip for people not seeing the update.

- Install the profile from the Apple's developer website.
- Restart the phone!
- Make sure you're connected to WiFi (otherwise it won't work).
- If the update still doesn't pop up, try setting the DNS to 8.8.8.8 (Google's dns).

Just updated all of my devices this way.

How do I install the profile? When I click on the link it just puts the file in downloads folder

People with cochlear implants can't use in-ear headphones because the microphone on the processor hangs down in the middle of the ear canal to better simulate natural audio collection. And over-the-ear cans are incredibly uncomfortable with this hardware sitting behind your ear.

If Apple would just allow for streaming to multiple BT devices, then there would be no need for headphones for people with implants, because the processor itself has a BT receiver in it.

But as it stands, they only allow streaming to one at a time, which is lame.
Hmmm I also didn’t think about that... maybe email Tim Cook shoot this. It should definitely be an accessibility feature

Thanks for the clarification. It's a shame they limited it to their own stuff.

I get that they want people to buy AirPods and PowerBeats Pro, but not all BT receivers/headphones can be replaced by Apple products.

Agreed. Even their slide at the keynote said something like "bluetooth splitter" or something like that. The wording made it sound like it would work with all bluetooth devices.

Why can't they?

My thought exactly.

And I'm no engineer, but honestly, if Samsung can do it, then obviously Apple can.

I haven't tested it otherwise, but I discovered that my iPhone 8 with B1 could simultaneously play music/sound through my AirPods and my Ford Sync bluetooth. The music was slightly out of sync, but it worked. (And two separate individuals with headphones probably wouldn't even notice that they were a half second off.)

I have installed the profiles released today for both my iPhone and iPad. I have iOS 13.0 beta already installed on my iPhone and iPad OS beta installed on my iPad. Even after installing profiles released today both devices return no available updates when I check for updates via Finder with devices attached to my MacBook Pro.

UPDATE: The updates are installing now. It appears to be slow to get started. I guess I'm not patient enough.

Only bad thing is that iOS 13 apparently removes support for AirPlay 1.
This means, no more music around the house on the speakers connected to Airport Express units.

Please let us know after you install it. :D

I just updated and I still see my old (original gen) Airport Express as an option for AirPlay...

EDIT: confirmed working!

Thanks. It only comes up with this

One of the most annoying things for me (which I know has been heavily documented) is when I get in my car, and it starts automatically playing music over bluetooth. What's *more* annoying is that if I'm listening to a podcast in my car, leave my car, and then come back to the car..it's resumes music instead of the podcast.

Can anyone comment if this functionality has been changed at all in iOS 13? I know some of it may be due to the car manufacturer, but hoping there might be a setting/fix. Thanks.

I had the beta 1, and i'm not a developer... Installed the profile, performed some sort of installation, and the it still shows 13.0, and OTA doesn't show beta 2, any ideas?

Awesome. Thanks, am downloading now on iPad Pro 11” and iPhone 6s

Hopefully 3D Touch bug fixed....(I.e. 3D Touch returned to same function as iOS 12)
Nope. It's not a bug, but rather the sunseting of 3D Touch itself in favor of long press which is available on all hardware and not just that with 3D Touch support.

I believe AppleSeed used to be a private, invite-only beta and has since been superseded.

Having said that, my point is I got a public beta profile, which I thought wasn't slated to launch for another several weeks.
I received this same invitation today, and at first I thought it was related to the Developer Beta, but it's a Public Beta profile being offered to me, FWIW.

<edit> Well, on checking things out, the Beta number being offered to me is the same build as the one mentioned in some of the initial comments (17A5508m). DOH! Sorry.

Apple today seeded the second betas of iOS 13 and iPadOS to developers for testing purposes, two weeks after first unveiling the new updates at the Worldwide Developers Conference.

Registered developers will need to download the profile for the iOS 13 and iPadOS betas from Apple's Developer Center. Beta 2 can be downloaded over the air after the profile has been installed and the iPhone or iPad has been restarted.

Apple in 2019 split iOS 13 and iPadOS into two separate updates, one designed for iPhone and one designed for iPad. iPadOS is identical to iOS 13 in almost every way, though there are some iPad-specific features such as improved Apple Pencil support. For the most part, though, the two operating systems share the same features.

iOS 13 is a huge update with a long list of new features. There's a new systemwide Dark Mode that changes the entire look of the operating system from light to dark, from system elements to apps.

Apple overhauled the Photos app, introducing a new Photos tab that curates your entire Photos library and shows you a selection of highlights organized by day, month, or year, and there are revamped Photo editing tools.

For the first time, you can edit video right in the Photos app, cropping, rotating, applying filters, and adjusting lighting and color. There's a new High-Key Mono lighting effect, and for Portrait Lighting in general, intensity can be adjusted.

There's a less obtrusive volume HUD, a new Find My app that combines Find My iPhone and Find My Friends and lets you track your devices even with they don't have an LTE or WiFi connection.

A Sign In with Apple feature gives you a convenient and data safe way to sign into apps and websites, providing an alternative to Facebook and Google sign in options. Apple's even able to generate single-use randomized email addresses so you don't have to give your real info to apps and websites.

Maps has a new street-level "Look Around" mode and a Collections feature for making lists of places, Reminders has been entirely overhauled to make it more functional, there's a profile feature in Messages along with new Memoji and Animoji stickers, and Siri has a new voice.

CarPlay in iOS 13 has been overhauled with a new look, multiple sets of AirPods can be connected to the same phone so you can share music, Siri on HomePod can detect multiple voices for multi-user support, and HomePod also supports Handoff.

There are a ton of additional new features and changes coming in iOS 13, and for a full rundown of what you can expect, you should check out our iOS 13 roundup.

The beta testing period will allow Apple to work out bugs ahead of the release of iOS 13 and iPadOS, and it will let developers build iOS 13 and iPadOS features into their apps ahead of a public release coming this fall.

While the betas are limited to developers at the current time, Apple plans to make a public beta available in July.

Update: All of the new features in the second beta are listed in our What's New in iOS 13 Beta 2 article.

You've been able to install the beta software for years without having a registered UDID number or developer account. People selling that service are committing fraud on more than one count.
