My 13 Mini and 13 Pro both had no problem updating OTA. 🤔

not sure how to do that appreciate if you could explain thanks

Connect to your PC/Mac, perform the following steps in quick succession:

Step 1: Quick-press Volume up and release.

Step 2: Quick-press Volume down and release.

Step 3: Long-press the Side button until the connect-to-computer glyph appears on your iPhone 15’s display.

Did a restore on my 15PM through MBP, it's now downloading beta 2 again (otherwise it's bye bye backup so might as well give this is a try first, maybe it will work the second time lol)

Okay, I had to do a full DFU restore, first trying the update option, which failed at about 95%. Then unplugged and plugged back in and did the DFU restore again this time selecting the Restore option. This worked, but meant I had to activate and start all over with restoring app and data.

So you didn't attempt installing beta 2 a second time? I'm doing that now (it's downloading) to see if I can use an iCloud backup.

I got the error message that because the iPhone wouldn't boot a full restore was needed and optoin clicking the restore button didn't ask me to select a IPSW file. :(

So soon you reckon? Would not they need at least 4 betas, followed by a RC?
Both iOS/IPadOS 15.3 and iOS/IPadOS 16.3 were very short term before release, see http://www.thinkybits.com/blog/ios-versions/

The addition of the Stolen Device Protection feature is something ongoing, only introduced with 17.3. You have at least 17.4 and 17.5 to perfect it for security concerns. You just need to make sure Face ID and your home location is working great. If it isn't wait.

Also the beta SDK notes are very brief only has the following:

StoreKit

Resolved Issues

  • Resolved an issue where APIs which provide Transaction values would unexpectedly fail when the purchase price of the transaction is a very large number. (118883880)

Some websites also mentioning that some phones are bricked after the update.
Around Christmas/new years it’s often a bad idea to update as it seems.
